Several well-known entertainers have been associated with pickup trucks, from a rapper’s everyday Ford to country stars’ customized Chevrolets. The stories below come from dated interviews and a 2022 roundup; they document reported vehicles at the time, not verified current ownership or a measured ranking of who “dominates” the road.
What celebrities drive pickup trucks?
These ten pairings show different reasons a pickup becomes part of a public figure’s story: daily transportation, ranch or work use, customization, or a personal milestone. Vehicle ownership changes, so each claim is tied to the source and date that reported it.
Darryl “DMC” McDaniels: 2009 Ford F-150 Platinum
In a 2015 MotorTrend interview, Run-DMC’s Darryl McDaniels described a 2009 Ford F-150 Platinum as his daily driver and only vehicle at that time. He said he had wanted a pickup since childhood, and liked its versatility and appearance. His praise—“It’s the best vehicle ever. Ford got it right.”—is his personal view, not an independent comparison.
Glen Plake: 2002 Ford F-350 and a 1959 Chevy pickup
A 2018 MotorTrend profile identified skiing personality Glen Plake’s daily driver as a 2002 Ford F-350. It also recounted his reunion with a 1959 Chevy pickup, his first vehicle and a treasured possession. The article described the old Chevy as a meaningful return to his past, not necessarily a current daily-use truck.

In a 2019 MotorTrend interview, country singer Rodney Atkins’s reported daily driver was a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71. He also recalled driving a Nissan pickup during his college songwriting years, listening to homemade tapes of his work. “I listened to music like crazy in that thing, and I think it had a lot to do with my love of music,” he said.
Willie Robertson: two 2014 pickups set up for different jobs
A MotorTrend profile described Duck Dynasty personality Willie Robertson’s hand-painted 2014 Ford F-150 and a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado treated with Line-X. The F-150 had a lockable pull-out storage container, while Robertson said he used the bed-protected Silverado when he expected to scratch it or wanted a deeper, open bed. These are details from an older profile, not a current endorsement or ownership check.
John Rich: 2011 Ford F-150 King Ranch
Country musician John Rich told MotorTrend in 2017 that his 2011 Ford F-150 King Ranch was an everyday vehicle. He said he bought it with money won playing blackjack and used it for work and other tasks. His description—“It’s just a good everyday vehicle. It’s been dinged up a little bit because I work in it and do stuff.”—captures a work-used pickup rather than a showpiece.

Luke Bryan: Chevrolet Silverado

Amber Marshall: 2014 Dodge Ram 3500
The roundup described Canadian actor Amber Marshall’s 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 as a truck used for ranch chores. Marshall is Canadian, so this is a country-and-ranch-scene example rather than an American-born celebrity pairing.
Brad Paisley: 2014 Chevrolet Signature Silverado
MotorBiscuit identified country musician Brad Paisley with a 2014 Chevrolet Signature Silverado, described as a design collaboration. The roundup does not establish present-day ownership.

Kid Rock: 2017 GMC Sierra 1500

Chase Rice: 1985 Chevrolet Silverado
The roundup associated country singer Chase Rice with a 1985 Chevrolet Silverado and quoted him saying, “This is going to be mine until the day I die.” The statement conveys his attachment as reported by the article, rather than proof of current possession.

Miranda Lambert: 1955 Chevy 3100, “Tammy”
The roundup reported that country singer Miranda Lambert had owned a 1955 Chevy 3100 named Tammy since she was 17. That reported history makes the truck notable as a long-standing personal connection, but the source does not independently verify present ownership.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to read these celebrity-truck stories
The examples mix first-person interviews with a secondary roundup, and they span reports published from 2015 through 2022. A truck described as someone’s daily driver in an older profile may since have been sold, replaced, or kept as a collection vehicle. The list is therefore best read as a collection of reported pairings and stories—not a current registry, endorsement list, or objective ranking of celebrity truck owners.
