Season 2’s strongest new addition is Bigfoot, also known as Michael, played by Mike Walden. He joins Dwight Manfredi’s circle as a bodyguard, and his appeal comes from a useful mix of comic contrast, crew function and early proof of loyalty. Calling him the season’s “best” is a critical judgment, not an official ranking or a claim of audience consensus.
Who is Bigfoot in Tulsa King?
Bigfoot is Mitch Keller’s cousin. Season 2 brings him into Dwight’s orbit as a bodyguard, giving the crew a new source of physical backup as Dwight’s Tulsa operation faces pressure from rivals Cal Thresher and Bill Bevilaqua. MEAWW’s October 13, 2024 feature identifies him as a new character and makes the case for his standout status.

Why Bigfoot stands out
His demeanor undercuts his imposing appearance
Bigfoot’s most immediate hook is the gap between his size and his manner. He is portrayed as kind, soft-spoken and gentlemanly, rather than eager to intimidate. When Dwight asks what interests him, Bigfoot answers, “Psychology.” The brief exchange is funny because it steers away from the expectation created by his imposing build.
He has a clear job in Dwight’s crew
The character is not only a comic contrast: as a bodyguard, he fills a practical role in a circle built around a criminal operation. That gives his presence a straightforward purpose even before the season reveals much about him beyond his relationship to Mitch and his temperament.

An early action gives his loyalty weight
Spoiler for Season 2, Episode 3: MEAWW’s account says Bigfoot helps kill Carl Caputo, an associate sent by Bill Bevilaqua to assassinate Dwight. The moment makes his loyalty consequential to the plot: he is not simply standing beside Dwight, but acting when the crew faces a direct threat.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is Bigfoot the best new character in Season 2?
That depends on what “best” means. If the standard is a character who quickly adds humor, a distinct presence and practical value to Dwight’s crew, Bigfoot makes a persuasive case. His introduction is legible without a long explanation, and the Episode 3 action gives him a concrete place in the season’s conflict.
Rank #2
If the standard is a layered backstory or a dramatic transformation, the case is less complete. The October 13 feature itself expresses interest in learning more about his background; that is a desire for greater characterization, not confirmation of any future storyline. For now, Bigfoot’s appeal rests on what Season 2 establishes on screen: an unexpectedly gentle manner paired with a role that can turn dangerous when Dwight needs protection.
