How does Dwight’s fight with Jeremiah Dunmire end?
The season’s central conflict is Dwight’s expanding liquor operation against Jeremiah Dunmire, a powerful liquor businessman whose family is drawn into the feud. In his November 24, 2025 finale review for CinemaBlend, Nick Venable describes Dwight beating Jeremiah and burning him alive. The killing decisively ends the season’s principal threat; the graphic details come from Venable’s account, not Paramount+’s short official synopsis.
What role does Cole play in Jeremiah’s downfall?
Cole goes to Dwight with information that helps save Joanna and brings Dwight closer to taking Jeremiah down, according to Venable’s recap. But Dwight, rather than Cole, carries out the final punishment. That gives the plot a clear resolution while leaving room to question whether Cole receives enough emotional payoff against his abusive father. That is a critical judgment about the character arc, not a separate plot event.

What changes for Dwight’s crew after the showdown?
Venable says Agent Musso helps the crew obtain a federal liquor license, giving Dwight’s operation a legitimate foothold alongside the violence that built it. He also describes Dwight and Margaret as more settled as a couple. Those closing details offer a measure of forward movement after the Dunmire conflict, rather than suggesting the crew’s problems are all over.
How does the finale set up NOLA King?
The finale’s franchise bridge is Russell Lee Washington Jr., played by Samuel L. Jackson. Paramount+ identifies Lee as the lead of the New Orleans-set NOLA King; Venable says Lee has rejected Quiet Ray’s order to kill Dwight and wants to build an empire of his own in New Orleans. His presence broadens the story beyond Tulsa, but the sources cited here do not establish a release date for the spin-off.

Does “Jesus Lizard” stick the landing?
As a season finale, it delivers plot closure by ending Jeremiah’s threat and moving Dwight’s business toward legitimacy. Its character payoff is less complete: Cole helps set the downfall in motion but does not personally deliver the final reckoning. The closing focus on Lee also shifts some attention from resolving the Tulsa story to opening a path into NOLA King. On balance, the central conflict lands decisively, even if Cole’s arc may leave viewers wanting more.
