According to Filmibee’s May 14, 2025 recap, Miles is drawn into danger by a date whose brother is connected to the gang. Lucy’s squad helps surround the attackers, and the gang members are arrested. The immediate threat to Miles is resolved, while Lucy gets a first test of how her new team works under pressure.
Angela exposes the story behind Julius’s robbery
Angela Lopez investigates a bank robbery involving Julius, who claims he needs money for a Bulgarian girlfriend’s heart transplant. Angela discovers that the girlfriend is a fabricated persona. She traces the relevant IP address to Julius’s wife, Heidi, who had been catfishing him to obtain money before divorcing him. Angela arrests Heidi.

Nolan gets the diamonds, but Oscar escapes
Nolan follows a lead about diamonds hidden in the desert by an associate of Oscar’s. Oscar ambushes him and takes him to the cache, where he reveals that Monica helped him escape prison. Nyla locates the two with help from a child using a drone.
Nolan gets the diamonds, but the encounter does not end with Oscar in custody: Oscar escapes when a helicopter arrives. The treasure is recovered, yet the recurring threat remains in play.

Tim’s request arrives at the wrong moment
Tim prepares Lucy’s favorite foods and tells her he has been working on himself in therapy. He asks her to move in with him, but Lucy falls asleep before she hears the question. The scene gives Tim a meaningful step toward reconciliation without giving the couple an answer; the request itself is left hanging.
Monica’s immunity sets up the next conflict
In the closing setup, Agent Matt Garza announces that someone secured immunity by using information stolen from an NSA facility. Filmibee’s recap identifies Monica as the person who obtained the deal and says she appears in front of the group as a free person. The finale does not explain the full consequences of her immunity, leaving her status and the fallout for the next season unresolved.

Why the finale can feel like it is stringing viewers along
The episode offers different levels of closure. Miles is safe and Heidi is arrested, while Nolan leaves with the diamonds; those plotlines deliver immediate outcomes. But Oscar escapes, Monica’s immunity raises new questions, and Lucy does not even hear Tim’s proposal. The finale moves the stories forward, yet postpones the decisions and confrontations that would make that progress feel settled.
That is the tension behind the reaction in the title: the episode does provide payoffs, but its most charged developments function as hooks rather than resolutions.
