Former The Price Is Right models Claudia Jordan and Kathleen Bradley have described alleged racism, unequal treatment and workplace misconduct during Bob Barker’s tenure in the docuseries Dirty Rotten Scandals. Their accounts raise serious questions about the show’s workplace, but the reports do not establish the alleged practices as fact or describe an adjudicated finding of racism.
What Claudia Jordan alleges about casting and prize assignments
In Dirty Rotten Scandals, Jordan alleged that racial bias shaped which contestants appeared on the show and how models were assigned prizes. TheGrio’s March 24, 2026 report describes her claims about contestant selection and prizes she said had Black associations. Complex’s March 28 report adds detail: Jordan said Black contestants were capped at two per taping and that staff marked contestant cards with a “B” so Barker would know who was next.
Jordan also alleged that she was assigned prizes with “Black connotations” and placed between two white models in what she called a “reverse Oreo.” These are claims attributed to Jordan in coverage of the docuseries, not independently verified findings. Neither report supplies an independently verified statistic about racial bias in casting.
Jordan’s account of alleged retaliation
TheGrio reported that Jordan described retaliation after she reported an assault and quoted her saying, “If you report someone, you better just count your days.” The same article quotes her describing daily anxiety: “Imagine every day you don’t know what trick this producer is going to pull on me today.” These are quotations as reported by TheGrio, not quotes checked against a transcript or recording of the series.

What Kathleen Bradley says—and what she does not claim
Bradley’s account is distinct from Jordan’s. TheGrio reported that Bradley described compensation as inadequate and said there was little direct hostility toward her personally, while acknowledging an intimidating environment. Complex reported that Bradley said she heard racist language in production meetings when models were not present. She is not reported as claiming every element of Jordan’s experience happened to her.
TheGrio also quoted Bradley saying, “People need to be careful and actually care about the way they treat people because the tables always turn.”

Holly Hallstrom’s claims are separate
Complex also reported claims by former model Holly Hallstrom. Hallstrom alleged that Barker made a racist remark about Black men and that she was pushed off the show after refusing to support him during a sexual-harassment lawsuit. Those claims belong to Hallstrom’s account; they should not be folded into Jordan’s or Bradley’s testimony.
How the allegations differ from Brandi Cochran’s lawsuit
Earlier legal reporting concerns a separate set of allegations. In 2010, Courthouse News Service summarized former model Brandi Cochran’s complaint alleging pregnancy-related harassment and that she was not allowed to return to work after leave. Her case concerned pregnancy discrimination, not the racial-bias allegations discussed by Jordan and Bradley.

CBS News and the Associated Press reported that a jury awarded Cochran $776,944 in November 2012 after determining that her pregnancy was the reason she was not rehired. FremantleMedia said it expected to be vindicated on appeal. The same report quoted the company saying 40 percent of its models had been pregnant; that was the company’s statement in the litigation, not a statistic about race or proof against Cochran’s claim.
ABC News reported in March 2013 that the verdict was set aside and a new trial ordered because the jury instructions had not required discrimination to be a “substantial motivating factor.” The reporting cited here does not establish what ultimately happened after that order, so the 2012 award should not be described as a final, standing verdict.

What the reporting establishes—and what remains unresolved
- Established as reported accounts: Jordan, Bradley and Hallstrom made the claims attributed to them in coverage of Dirty Rotten Scandals.
- Not established by these reports: Independent verification or an adjudicated finding that racial bias in casting, racialized prize assignments or the alleged retaliation occurred.
- Separate legal record: Cochran’s pregnancy-discrimination case had its own claims and procedural history; the 2012 jury verdict was set aside in 2013, and the sources cited here do not report its ultimate disposition.
The distinction matters: the series-related accounts are allegations by former models, while Cochran’s case involved a complaint, a jury award and a later order for a new trial. Neither the legal case nor a figure quoted in that litigation establishes whether the separate racial-bias allegations are true.
