Lisa Whelchel and Geri Jewell appeared together on MeTV’s Collector’s Call in an episode connected to The Facts of Life and Charlotte Rae. It was a reunion for viewers, but not a reconnection: Whelchel said she and Jewell had stayed in touch over the years.
What happened on Collector’s Call?
The program brought Whelchel and Jewell together around a collection item tied to The Facts of Life, Charlotte Rae and Whelchel. In an interview with TV Insider, Whelchel clarified what the appearance meant to them: “Geri and I have kept in touch over the years, so it wasn’t like a reunion for us since we have stayed in touch.”

That makes “reunion” an apt description for the on-screen pairing, but not for two friends meeting again after a long separation. The interview was published circa 2020; the available reporting does not establish whether the pair appeared together again after that.
Who were Lisa Whelchel and Geri Jewell on the show?
Whelchel played Blair Warner, while Jewell played Blair’s cousin Geri. Jewell has recalled that she and Whelchel also lived together as roommates. Her official website interview discusses their connection and her time on the series.

How did it differ from the 2014 cast reunion?
The Collector’s Call appearance was a smaller gathering centered on collectors and show-related items. It is distinct from the larger Facts of Life cast event at PaleyFest on September 15, 2014, held for the series’ 35th anniversary.

The Facts of Life ran for nine seasons on NBC, from 1979 to 1988, according to UPI’s coverage of the PaleyFest gathering.

No. The reported appearances are cast gatherings, not announcements of a new season. In a July 2024 report, the Los Angeles Times said Mindy Cohn described a proposed reboot as “very dead.” That report is context about the reboot proposal, not evidence of a later change in the show’s status.
Jewell has spoken warmly about her original work with Whelchel, telling Fox News it was “an amazing thing that happened in my life and it changed my life in 180 degrees.” She was referring to their time on The Facts of Life, not to the later Collector’s Call appearance. Fox News
