Spoilers for the season 41 finale of The Challenge: Vets and New Threats. Olivia Kaiser and rookie Yeremi Hykel won the finale after falling to last place at the Connect Four checkpoint and passing the other teams on the final mountain ascent. In a December 4, 2025 interview with Entertainment Weekly, they also discussed the missing rope that led to a five-minute penalty. Kaiser speculated that production may have taken it by mistake, but the interview does not establish what happened to the rope.
Who won The Challenge season 41?
Olivia Kaiser and rookie Yeremi Hykel won the finale of The Challenge: Vets and New Threats, according to Sydney Bucksbaum’s Entertainment Weekly interview, updated December 4, 2025. Hykel estimated that they reached the finish chest about five to ten minutes before Turbo and Sydney. That is his estimate, not an official recorded finish-time gap.
How did Olivia and Yeremi go from last place to first?
Their comeback came during the finale’s final ascent. The interview reports that they ended day one in third place, then dropped to last after the Connect Four checkpoint. Kaiser recalled that they had gone from second to fourth at that checkpoint; the accounts do not support stating one exact rank immediately before it.
The route they chose
Hykel said he and Kaiser took a more physically demanding climb rather than the path followed by Turbo and Sydney. He credited that choice with helping them pass the pair. This is Hykel’s retrospective explanation, not an independently measured analysis of the route or race.

The pace that mattered
Kaiser described the finale as a foot race: “This final was definitely a foot race.” She said hiking quickly and consistently gave competitors an advantage. That is her characterization of the competition, rather than an independent assessment of the course.
Was the missing rope a production fluke?
The Entertainment Weekly headline says a missing prop forced a team to take a five-minute penalty. Hykel recalled putting his own rope over his tent, seeing Cedric look for it, and the group searching the campsite. The interview does not establish who moved the missing rope or how it disappeared.

Kaiser offered one possibility: “I think production took an extra rope on accident.” She also said there was no footage and that they would never know. Her comment is speculation, not confirmation of a production mistake.

Kaiser’s pregnancy and injuries
Kaiser told Entertainment Weekly that she did not know she was pregnant while competing and would have gone home if she had known. Hykel said he found out after filming when Kaiser sent him an ultrasound. These are the interviewees’ personal accounts, not medical guidance.

Kaiser also recalled injuries during the final, including a hip injury and knee pain afterward. These, too, are participant recollections rather than verified medical findings.
Why Hykel stayed with Kaiser on day two
Hykel said he did not choose Sydney as his partner for the second day because the earlier exertion had left him exhausted and he trusted Kaiser’s resilience.
