CBS’s August 14, 2025 cast announcement named these 13 teams and identified each former Big Brother player’s season history. The relationships below are the ones stated in that announcement.

How season 38’s race worked
The season began in Amsterdam. CBS’s announcement named Prague, Budapest and Romania among the destinations; the CBS episode guide also describes legs or episodes involving Croatia, Bucharest and Greece, Milan, Paris and New York City. These are confirmed locations, not a complete itinerary.

Before teams lined up at the starting line, they faced an opening challenge. CBS said the first team to finish earned an Express Pass, while the last received a Hazard, and described it as the first pre-start challenge in the show’s history.
At each destination, two-person teams tackled mental and physical challenges to learn where to go next. Teams farthest behind were eliminated as the race progressed; the first team to reach the final destination would win the season and the $1 million prize stated in CBS’s announcement.

Premiere, schedule and episode guide
The premiere, “Two Worlds Colliding,” aired Thursday, September 25, 2025. CBS announced that the series moved to Wednesdays from October 1, airing 9:30–11:00 p.m. ET/PT. The season’s 12-episode guide lists the finale, “One Million Cookies,” for December 10, 2025. Dates and scheduling are season-specific; check the CBS episode guide for episode information.
In its August 25, 2025 viewing notice, CBS described Paramount+ Premium as providing live access through a local CBS affiliate feed and on-demand access, and Paramount+ Essential as providing on-demand access the day after broadcast.
