In “Blood Will Be Drawn,” the three tribes merge, Jeff Probst urges the cast to play boldly, and a tense idol scramble ends with Nate Moore voted out. Sophie Segreti wins individual immunity; MC Chukwujekwu plays her idol; the majority avoids the riskier Savannah-and-Rizo target and sends Nate home instead.

The newly merged players receive black merge buffs and search for keys. Sage finds the useful one: it opens a chest containing an advantage, a fast pass to the merge feast and the individual-immunity contest. Dalton Ross’s recap describes the key and its reward, as does Andy Dehnart’s episode recap.
Why does Jeff Probst push the players to make a big move?
Probst turns the merge into a direct challenge to the cast’s ambition, tying strong play in season 49 to the possibility of a future on the show. As Ross reports, Probst tells them: “Just so you know, there are spots on Survivor 50 still up for grabs. You want to be on Survivor 50, it happens here. This is where you make your career, or somebody makes their career off your back.”

At Tribal Council, Probst returns to the same idea: “The merge really is where you forge a career. If you’re going to be a great player, it happens now. It doesn’t happen pre-merge.” Both statements are reported by Ross’s recap. They are an on-air casting prompt, not confirmation that a particular contestant has been promised a place on Survivor 50.
Who wins individual immunity?
The challenge unfolds in two parts: a team obstacle-and-puzzle segment followed by an individual balance contest. Sophie Segreti wins individual immunity, putting herself beyond the reach of the vote at Tribal Council. Ross and Dehnart both describe the challenge and result (Ross; Dehnart).
The episode has two contestants with similar names: Sophie Segreti is the immunity winner; Sophi Balerdi is a different player. Keeping the names straight matters when following the vote and the challenge.

Who gets voted out, and why?
MC Chukwujekwu’s idol becomes central to the scramble after Savannah sees MC looking for a key connected to it. MC plays the idol, but the majority’s vote lands on Nate Moore rather than Savannah or Rizo. Dehnart reports the final tally as seven votes for Nate and four for Steven.

The vote, however, reflects the risk of choosing a target tied to an idol: going after Savannah and Rizo could have exposed the majority to an unpredictable result, while Nate became the safer choice. That is the strategic interpretation offered by the recaps, not a definitive measure of any player’s ability. Dehnart’s recap provides the alliance context and vote count; Ross’s recap centers the episode’s big-move prompt.
