“Weird Al” Yankovic made his Madison Square Garden debut on July 12, 2025, as part of the Bigger & Weirder Tour. The event listing named Puddles Pity Party as the special guest; concert coverage described a large-scale, parody-filled show built around an expanded band, costume changes and video interludes.
When did Weird Al play Madison Square Garden?
Yankovic performed at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday, July 12, 2025. MSG’s event listing identifies the concert as part of the Bigger & Weirder 2025 Tour and lists Puddles Pity Party as special guest. Yankovic’s official live-performance archive provides the tour context.
Was this Yankovic’s first Madison Square Garden show?
Concert coverage described the July 2025 performance as Yankovic’s Madison Square Garden debut. JamBase’s account of the night frames it as his first appearance at the Garden. The historical angle is the venue debut; “conquers,” as used in some headlines, is promotional wording rather than a measurable result.
What was the show like?
Reviews characterized the Bigger & Weirder production as a return to a parody-centered format, with costume changes and video interludes. Rolling Stone Australia reported that Yankovic’s longtime five-piece band was expanded by four additional musicians. JamBase likewise described the larger ensemble and a career-spanning performance. Those are reviewers’ accounts of the production, not a formal set description from the venue.

JamBase reported that Yankovic joked onstage: “Well, I’m on my way to the record, only 149 more shows and I’ll tie Billy Joel.” It was a joke about Joel’s well-known Garden residency, not an independently verified calculation of a record.
