Netflix confirmed that Wednesday Season 2 had wrapped production and would return in 2025. The season then arrived in two parts: August 6 and September 3, 2025. All eight episodes have been streaming on Netflix since September 3, 2025.
When did Wednesday Season 2 come out?
Netflix Tudum announced that Season 2 would be released in two parts. Part 1 arrived on August 6, 2025, and Part 2 followed on September 3, 2025. Netflix confirmed on September 3 that all eight episodes were streaming.
Netflix Tudum’s April 23, 2025 announcement set out the two-part schedule. Its September 3 update confirmed that the full season was available.
Did production wrap before the 2025 release?
Yes. Netflix’s 2025 slate announcement said production had wrapped and described the show as returning later that year. That announcement did not give an exact date for the wrap, so a specific filming-completion day or month is not established by it.

Production moved to Ireland for Season 2; Season 1 had been filmed in Romania. Netflix Tudum’s location feature describes the change as an expanded production canvas. The location shift is a production detail, not evidence of a particular creative or scheduling outcome.

In its April 23 announcement, co-creator and co-showrunner Miles Millar said, “Nothing is what it seems in Season 2.” When all episodes became available on September 3, co-showrunners and executive producers Alfred Gough and Millar described Wednesday’s story as “darker and more complex” as she faced family, friends, mysteries, and old adversaries at Nevermore.
