Macy’s says it featured Wednesday and Pugsley Addams, with their faces sculpted by Macy’s Studios. The “spooky shadow” is headline color: the available official and event-preview sources do not report a literal shadow incident.
What was the Wednesday float called?
Wednesday’s Feast was one of six new floats Macy’s announced for the 2024 parade. It drew on Netflix’s Wednesday and featured the series’ Wednesday and Pugsley characters, according to Macy’s 2024 announcement and the official float fact sheet.
What made the float stand out?
Macy’s Studios spent more than one hundred hours sculpting the faces of Wednesday and Pugsley, the float fact sheet says. That figure refers specifically to face sculpting—not the total time required to design or build the float.
Was there really a spooky shadow incident?
No such incident is documented in the cited sources. Macy’s materials describe the float and its character craftsmanship, while the Associated Press preview identifies it as part of the 2024 parade lineup; neither reports a shadow-related event. The phrase should therefore be read as a playful description, not a claim about something that happened during the parade.

Did Wednesday’s Feast return, or will it appear in 2026?
The available announcements establish the float’s 2024 debut but do not confirm a later return. Macy’s says the 2026 parade will be its 100th march, with 100 inflatable elements and a new float honoring parade pioneer Tony Sarg; those parade-wide details do not establish that Wednesday’s Feast will be included. See Macy’s 2026 announcement for the centennial plans.
How does the float fit the parade’s history?
Macy’s says the Thanksgiving Day Parade began in 1924 and was canceled in 1942, 1943, and 1944 during World War II. For a sense of a more recent lineup, Macy’s reported that the 2025 parade included more than 5,000 volunteers, 32 balloons, and 27 floats; those are figures for the 2025 event, not counts for the 2026 parade. The company’s 2025 announcement gives that year’s figures.
