The season’s workplace friendships, romances, and ambitions follow the Scandoval fallout, but Bravo’s announcement did not say Scandoval alone prompted the cast change.
What changed in Season 12?
Lisa Vanderpump remains the central figure, while the ensemble moves to a new group connected to her West Hollywood restaurant, SUR. Bravo’s premise puts the coworkers’ overlapping jobs and social lives at the center: friendships, dating, and workplace tensions shape the season.
The reset marks a clear contrast with the earlier cast era, whose established relationships and conflicts included the fallout from Scandoval. Season 12 instead introduces new coworkers and their ambitions, while retaining the restaurant as the setting that brings the group together.
Who is in the new cast?
Bravo named ten new cast members alongside Vanderpump. The descriptions below reflect the network’s promotional biographies and season framing, rather than independent reporting about the cast’s private lives.

How does Scandoval fit into the recast?
Scandoval is the name commonly given to the 2023 revelation that Tom Sandoval had an affair with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss while he was in a relationship with Ariana Madix. According to the Associated Press, the affair came to light after Season 10 had finished filming. Cameras returned to capture additional aftermath, followed by a three-part reunion, and Season 11 followed the cast as it navigated the fallout. The AP’s account of the timeline and reset places the new ensemble after that stretch of conflict.

Bravo announced on November 26, 2024, that the series would return with a new group of SUR staff, alongside a retrospective of its first eleven seasons. That sequence establishes that the recast followed Scandoval and Season 11; it does not establish that Scandoval was Bravo’s sole reason for changing the cast. In the announcement, Lisa Vanderpump called the filming run “an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between,” while executive producer Alex Baskin described building on the series’ legacy by “doing it all over again.” Bravo’s announcement and premiere details document the network’s stated plans.
