Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is a ten-episode comedy set in The Big Bang Theory universe. Kevin Sussman leads as Stuart Bloom, who must repair reality after breaking a device built by Sheldon and Leonard. The series premiered in the US on July 23, 2026, and its first season has concluded.
What is Stuart Fails to Save the Universe about?
The series follows Stuart Bloom, the comic-book-store owner played by Kevin Sussman. Warner Bros. Discovery’s May 13, 2026 announcement describes the setup: “Comic book store owner Stuart Bloom is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon.” The sci-fi crisis gives the comedy a multiverse premise while keeping Stuart—the longtime supporting character from The Big Bang Theory—at its center.
Warner Bros. Discovery announced a ten-episode season. HBO Max’s official trailer, published June 23, 2026, framed it as a story “From the world of #TheBigBangTheory.”
