Too Much centers on Megan Stalter as Jessica and Will Sharpe as Felix, with a large supporting cast spanning Jessica’s family, former relationship and London workplace. The Netflix romantic comedy was co-created by Lena Dunham and Luis Felber and runs for 10 episodes.
Who plays Jessica and Felix in Too Much?
Megan Stalter plays Jessica, a heartbroken New Yorker who moves to London after a breakup. Will Sharpe plays Felix, the musician she meets there. Stalter is familiar to many viewers from Hacks, while Sharpe is known to many from The White Lotus. The series puts Jessica’s romantic-comedy expectations about London and love up against a more complicated reality.

How does the cast fit the series’ story?
Jessica’s move to London follows the end of her long relationship with Zev, while her new connection with Felix gives the story its central romance. Her relatives and colleagues place that relationship alongside her family life and new work environment; Felix’s mother, roommate and former partner fill in the circle around him.
Dunham and Felber co-created the series. Netflix and The Guardian’s July 2025 coverage connect its London setting and cross-cultural romance to Dunham’s own move to London and relationship with Felber. That is an inspiration for the series, not evidence that every plot event happened in real life.

Netflix presents Too Much as a romantic comedy that recognizes familiar genre conventions while questioning their tidy endings. In a July 10, 2025 interview, Dunham put it this way: “We know that it’s an uphill battle to spend your life with another person and really make that work. We think of a wedding as the end of the story, when actually it’s the beginning.” Stalter has described Jessica as emotional, chaotic and vulnerable, and discussed how the character’s breakup and new relationship connect to acceptance; that is Stalter’s perspective on the role, not a neutral consensus.
