Actor Kim Delaney was arrested in Marina del Rey on March 29, 2025, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, according to CBS Los Angeles. Prosecutors later declined to file charges against Delaney or James Morgan, citing insufficient evidence, the outlet reported. An arrest on suspicion is not a finding that the alleged conduct occurred.

Delaney was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Morgan was arrested on suspicion of battery, according to CBS. The reports described the incident as an alleged domestic dispute, but do not establish the specific conduct alleged or what evidence investigators reviewed. They also do not support claims about a particular weapon, injury, or witness account.
Were charges filed against Kim Delaney?
No. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office declined to file charges against Delaney and Morgan. CBS attributed the decision to DA’s office spokesperson Pamela Johnson, who said prosecutors declined “due to insufficient evidence.” That was a charging decision, not an acquittal after trial.
