Sullivan’s Crossing was renewed, not cancelled. The CW’s December 11, 2024 announcement—the decision associated with the Season 2 finale—picked up a ten-episode third season. The series has since been renewed through Season 5, which The CW says is slated to debut in 2027.
What was decided around the Season 2 finale?
The CW announced the Season 3 pickup on December 11, 2024, the same date its release said the Season 2 finale would air. The announcement therefore established the show’s continuation rather than its cancellation. It called for ten episodes and described the drama as based on Robyn Carr’s book series. The CW’s Season 3 announcement does not substantiate the claim that the decision came six months after the finale.
