At the Love Island USA season 6 reunion, Nicole Jacky condemned the leak of Kendall Washington’s private video, saying nobody deserved to have it exposed. She also criticized Washington for what she said was an inaccurate account of when and to whom he had sent it. Her reunion remarks were not her first public comment after the show: on August 1, she had posted that she was taking time to process what had happened.
What Nicole Jacky said at the reunion
In reunion remarks reported by Out on August 19, 2024, Jacky first made clear that she objected to the video being leaked: “Obviously, the video is not OK. Nobody deserves that. Everybody in this room can agree, it’s f*ked up.”
She then turned to her disagreement with Washington, saying he should have been honest with her when he told her about it. Jacky said he had described the video as being from years earlier, but that she later heard from JaNa Craig that it had been recorded in a hotel room before Washington went on the show and sent to someone on a dating app. Jacky’s criticism concerned the account he gave her about the video’s timing and recipient; she did not endorse its release.
Why Jacky was upset with Washington
Jacky distinguished between two issues: the privacy violation itself, which she called wrong, and the explanation Washington gave her about the video. Her reunion account was that she trusted him to tell her the truth, and that she learned a different version two days later from JaNa. The reported comments do not establish a broader claim about consent or resolve every detail of how the video was shared.

What Washington said after the finale
After the season finale, Washington addressed the video in an Instagram Story, as quoted by TV Insider on July 23, 2024. He wrote, “What a way to get my phone back y’all,” then said the content was “from my past” and that he had shared it “to someone in confidence and trust.” He added that it was unfortunate it was no longer private.
That was Washington’s initial public explanation. It does not settle Jacky’s later complaint about what he had told her regarding the video’s timing and recipient.

When Jacky first spoke publicly after leaving the villa
Jacky had posted an earlier, general update to Instagram Stories on August 1. The Independent reported on August 2, 2024, that she wrote: “While Love Island was an amazing experience, things have not been easy since leaving the villa.” She added that there was “much more to share” about what had happened since coming home and that she was taking time to process.
So the reunion was where Jacky addressed the leak and Washington’s explanation in detail—not her first public communication after the season.
