TheWrap reported that he was released the next night on a $10,000 bond and described it as his third domestic-violence arrest and fourth arrest overall. Later reports covered separate Oregon and California cases; they should not be confused with the South Carolina arrest.
What happened in South Carolina in January 2025?
According to TheWrap’s January 4, 2025 report, Bryan was arrested in Horry County on Thursday, January 2, and held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center. TheWrap said Horry County inmate records showed the booking and that Bryan was released on $10,000 bond on Friday night, January 3. TheWrap’s account described the arrest as his third domestic-violence arrest and fourth arrest overall.

An arrest is not a finding of guilt. TheWrap also recounted earlier arrests in October 2020 and July 2023, characterizing the latter as an arrest on a felony assault charge under South Carolina’s Abuse Prevention Act.
How did later reports change the picture?
The January 2025 headline was not a current account of Bryan’s subsequent legal history. Later reporting described other matters, each with a distinct date, location and status.

What was reported about the Oregon arrest?
The Los Angeles Times reported that Bryan and his fiancée, Johnnie Faye Cartwright, were arrested in Lane County on November 29, 2025. Bryan was booked on suspicion of violating probation on a fourth-degree felony assault conviction from 2023. The paper said he had received 36 months of supervised probation.
According to the newspaper’s account of a Lane County Sheriff’s Office statement and jail records, the alleged probation violation involved contact with Cartwright, which the sheriff’s office said his probation terms barred. The report also said officers responded to a reckless-endangerment report, observed signs that both adults were impaired, and accused Cartwright of trying to run Bryan over with a pickup truck. The truck went into a ditch with three children inside; the report said no one was injured and the children were placed with a family member. These are allegations and reported police accounts, not findings of a court.
The Los Angeles Times called the November 2025 arrest Bryan’s sixth in five years. That count is the newspaper’s characterization, not a court-verified cumulative total. The final disposition of the Oregon probation matter was not established in the cited coverage.

In a February 25, 2026 report, the Los Angeles Times said Bryan pleaded guilty to a felony DUI charge arising from his February 17, 2024 arrest in La Quinta. The newspaper reported a 16-month jail sentence and said Bryan admitted sentencing enhancements tied to a blood-alcohol level of 0.15% or higher and two prior DUI convictions. It also reported that two other charges, including misdemeanor property damage, were reportedly dismissed.

The paper said Bryan received 57 days’ credit for time served and had approximately 14 more months to serve. This sentence concerned the California DUI case—not the January 2025 South Carolina arrest or the November 2025 Oregon probation proceeding.
