Yes. Sydnee Peck said she was engaged in an interview published January 15, 2025. She did not identify her fiancé in the quoted passage. The headline’s “not to David” refers to her Deal or No Deal Island castmate David Genat, not a fiancé.
What Sydnee Peck said about being engaged
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, republished by Yahoo on January 15, 2025, Peck said: “But other than finding that out, I actually moved back home to my hometown and I’m engaged now.” The statement establishes what she said at that time; it does not confirm her relationship status today.

Peck did not name her fiancé in the quoted passage. The interview provides no basis for identifying him or speculating about wedding plans.
Why the headline says “not to David”
“David” is David Genat, Peck’s fellow contestant on season 2 of Deal or No Deal Island. Peck told Entertainment Weekly that she had initially found him attractive, then learned he was married. “But as soon as I found out David was married, I completely backed off,” she said.

Peck described their relationship during filming as a friendship and said Genat supported her while she was ill on the island. Those details are her account of their time on the show; they do not suggest that Genat was her fiancé.
