The absence is not absolute: her son Mateo appeared in an episode that aired on April 10, 2023.
What Stacey Silva has said about her sons
In a 2021 interview with The List, Stacey explained: “And they’re not on the show, but they’re very private, and I respect that.” In a separate 2021 interview with HollywoodLife, she put the reason more directly: “My sons aren’t on the show because they’re more private.”
Those statements are the clearest public explanation for why viewers generally do not see her sons on the series: Stacey described them as private and said she respects that. The interviews do not establish whether either son personally chose not to be filmed.
Mateo appeared in a 2023 episode
It is not quite accurate to say Stacey’s sons have never appeared on the show. Contemporary coverage reported that Mateo appeared in an episode of Darcey & Stacey that aired April 10, 2023. That appearance qualifies the broader pattern of keeping the family largely off camera; it does not contradict Stacey’s stated preference for respecting their privacy. The available reporting establishes Mateo’s appearance, not an appearance by her other son, Parker.

What is known about custody speculation
Some entertainment coverage has raised custody as a possible factor, but it also notes that the arrangement is unclear. The available reporting does not establish that the boys’ father barred them from filming, so that should not be treated as the reason. Stacey’s own explanation is privacy; claims about custody, another parent’s objection, or the sons’ private motives go beyond what has been confirmed.
