Jenna Ortega plays Astrid Deetz, the daughter of Lydia Deetz, in Tim Burton’s 2024 sequel, officially titled Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Warner Bros. released the official trailer on May 23, 2024. “Beetlejuice 2” is informal shorthand, not the film’s title.
Is Jenna Ortega in the new Beetlejuice trailer?
Yes. Ortega plays Astrid, Lydia’s daughter. The official Warner Bros. trailer introduces the returning Deetz family alongside the sequel’s new cast.
ABC News’ report on the trailer’s May 23, 2024 release describes its opening as Lydia consoling Astrid after a family death. That is a brief setup, not a full account of the film’s plot.
Why is the movie called Beetlejuice Beetlejuice?
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is the official title. “Beetlejuice 2” is a familiar way to refer to the sequel, but it is not the title used in Warner Bros.’ official film materials or the trailer.
