What Claudia Black said about leaving Ahsoka
In an interview with Bleeding Cool, Black said she had been picked up for the second season, but the pay and the London filming location made it impossible for her to manage her responsibilities as a single mother in Los Angeles. She described the outcome as sad and said she emailed creator Dave Filoni to thank him. Bleeding Cool’s interview reported her account.

Black’s remarks explain why she says she had to withdraw; they do not establish that Disney formally fired or recast her. TheWrap also reported Black’s explanation, but its coverage likewise does not provide Disney’s response or the compensation terms. TheWrap’s report attributes the account to Black.
