For US viewers looking for extreme horror, Tubi is the strongest place to start: its October 2026 guide features Martyrs, Inside, Terrifier and Terrifier 2. There is no objective gore ranking, so the picks below are grouped by intensity rather than presented as a definitive countdown. Streaming availability was checked October 7, 2026; catalogs can change, and availability varies by country.
Extreme-gore picks on Tubi
These are the most aggressive choices in the US-focused October Tubi guide. The descriptions below are broad content cues, not a promise that every viewer will react the same way. Check each film’s live Tubi listing before watching.
| Film | Why it is on this list | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| Martyrs (2008) | Included in CableTV.com’s extreme-horror selections; the guide flags its opening weekend picks as hard to watch. | Tubi, US; listed for October 3 in CableTV.com’s October 2026 schedule. Confirm current availability. |
| Inside (2007) | Another extreme-horror selection in the Tubi guide. | Tubi, US; listed for October 20 in CableTV.com’s October 2026 schedule. Confirm current availability. |
| Terrifier (2016) | A slasher featuring Art the Clown, an example of hardcore horror in Paramount+ UK & Ireland’s Halloween guide. | Tubi, US; listed alongside Terrifier 2 for October 30 by CableTV.com. Confirm current availability. |
| Terrifier 2 (2022) | The most directly verified pick: Tubi lists it as horror, TV-MA, with a runtime of 2 hours 19 minutes. | Tubi, US. Tubi’s title page offers a watch option, and JustWatch’s US listing checked October 7, 2026 also reported it on Tubi. |
CableTV.com’s October 2026 Tubi schedule is a discovery guide, not a standardized ranking of gore. For Terrifier 2, see Tubi’s title page and the JustWatch US listing; those listings can change.
October arrivals for viewers who want horror, not necessarily maximum gore
Not every timely horror release belongs in an extreme-gore shortlist. TechRadar’s October 2026 guide reports these US arrivals; treat them as alternatives for different tastes, not as verified entries in a gore ranking.

#1 Best Overall
| Film | US service and reported start date | How it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Barbarian and Hereditary | Hulu, October 1, 2026 | Recent-to-this-slate horror options; the guide does not establish either as a top gore pick. |
| Hush and Lake Placid | Netflix, October 1, 2026 | Additional horror choices, with no claim here that they match the extremity of the Tubi shortlist. |
| Evil Dead Burn | HBO Max, October 5, 2026 | TechRadar describes this arrival as gore-forward, making it the clearest recent alternative for viewers specifically seeking graphic horror. |
The service information above is US-specific and reflects TechRadar’s October guide, not a guarantee of ongoing access. The guide reports different options for some titles in the UK and Australia. Consult TechRadar’s October 2026 arrivals guide for its regional listings.
How to choose by tolerance
- Want the most extreme shortlist: Start with Martyrs, Inside or the Terrifier films, and check the current Tubi listing for your country.
- Want a currently verified starting point: Terrifier 2 has a Tubi page with a watch option and is listed for US viewers by JustWatch as of October 7, 2026.
- Want a newer October option: Consider Evil Dead Burn on HBO Max in the US, reported from October 5; it is described as gore-forward, but is not part of an objective ranking.
- Want horror without choosing solely for graphic violence: The October guide also lists Barbarian, Hereditary, Hush and Lake Placid.
Use the service and country as part of the decision: a title appearing in a US guide does not mean it is available in the UK, Australia or elsewhere. Paramount+ UK & Ireland’s Halloween guide reflects a range of horror intensities and identifies Art the Clown as hardcore horror; it is a useful reminder that “too gory” is personal, not a measurable universal threshold.
Why there is no definitive “goriest” ranking
None of the cited guides uses a standardized gore scale, and the order of a list should not be mistaken for a measured result. Netflix Tudum explicitly says its ordering is subjective. For that reason, this guide separates extreme-horror recommendations from other October arrivals rather than assigning films numeric gore scores or claiming one is conclusively the goriest. See Netflix Tudum’s horror guide.

Tubi announced on August 18, 2026 that it had more than 13,000 hours of horror content and that more than 53 million hours of horror were streamed on the platform each month. These are figures reported by Tubi, not independently verified market totals. In the same announcement, Tubi Chief Content Officer Adam Lewinson said, “Horror isn’t seasonal. For millions of fans, it’s their version of comfort viewing: something they return to ritualistically all year round.” Tubi also described its horror hub as expanding into Canada, the UK, Australia, Mexico and Latin America with locally tailored selections, so its US lineup should not be assumed to apply everywhere. Details are in Tubi’s August 18, 2026 announcement.
