Reports said Kendra Duggar was booked in Arkansas on March 20, 2026, on four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of false imprisonment. An anonymous source cited in the initial coverage connected the arrest to a home inspection and exterior door locks; that account was not presented as an official police statement or a court finding. Later reporting described a conditional arrangement in the Arkansas case, with possible dismissal after 12 months if its conditions are met.

What charges were reported in Arkansas?

An Associated Press report published March 20 said Tontitown police announced charges against both Kendra and Joseph Duggar: four counts each of endangering the welfare of a minor and false imprisonment. The Los Angeles Times later identified the false-imprisonment charges as second degree. These were charges, not convictions.

An AOL page republished an Entertainment Weekly article by Derek Lawrence dated March 23, 2026, reporting that Kendra had been booked on the charges on Friday, March 20, and released after posting bail. The report said Joseph faced the same Arkansas charges.

Why was Kendra Duggar reportedly arrested?

The March 23 article attributed its explanation to an unnamed “source close to the family” who spoke to PEOPLE. The source said the arrest followed a home inspection and that “the door locks being on the exterior of the doors.” The article said those locks were reportedly on rooms where the couple’s four children stayed.

This is an anonymous, secondhand account. The reporting does not establish it as a police statement, a court finding, or a complete account of the evidence behind the charges. The source’s explanation should therefore be distinguished from the charges themselves.

How is the Arkansas case different from Joseph Duggar’s Florida case?

The Arkansas charges were reported as separate from Joseph Duggar’s Florida case. The Los Angeles Times said Tontitown police considered the Arkansas charges unrelated to that Florida matter. The March article also attributed to PEOPLE sources the claim that Kendra was “not suspected of participating” in the incident behind Joseph’s initial Florida booking. That description came from reported sources, not a court finding.

What happened in the Arkansas case after the arrest?

Court TV reported that Kendra and Joseph appeared in Tontitown on August 10, 2026, withdrew their not-guilty pleas, and entered a conditional arrangement. According to Court TV, the charges could be dismissed after 12 months if they maintain good behavior, follow court orders, and each pay $1,850 in fines.

This is a reported route to possible dismissal, not confirmation that the charges have already been dismissed. The court docket was not directly reviewed for this account, so the procedural details are attributed to Court TV.
