They grew up with intense public attention around their parents. Accounts of their family life should be read with care: public reporting includes statements from Spears and Federline, but their personal accounts are not a substitute for court records.
What is publicly known about them now?
In an Associated Press report dated October 17, 2025, Sean was described as 20 and Jayden as 19. The report said they were living as young adults, working on music and had little relationship with their mother at that time. That is a dated description, not a guarantee of their present circumstances or a permanent account of their relationship.

In 2026, Vogue reported that both sons walked in Vetements’ spring 2027 menswear show, marking a public fashion milestone. That appearance does not establish details about their private lives, education, work beyond the report, residence or day-to-day contact with either parent.
What happened with custody?
Spears and Federline divorced in 2007. Later entertainment reporting describes Federline as having sole physical custody. Coverage of Spears’s memoir recounts her account of perinatal depression and a 2007 custody standoff; those descriptions should be attributed to her rather than presented as independent findings. Historical custody arrangements concern the period when the sons were minors and should not be described as current child-custody orders now that they are adults.

What do the two memoirs say—and what can they establish?
Britney Spears’s The Woman in Me, published by Gallery Books on October 24, 2023, is her first-person account of her life and motherhood. Kevin Federline’s You Thought You Knew, published by Listenin in 2025, presents his account of fatherhood and family life. Each offers its author’s perspective; neither should be treated as a neutral adjudication of disputed events.
In an AP interview about his memoir, Federline said, “I want my children to be able to move forward in their lives and know that the actual truth of everything is out there.” He also wrote, “I’ve lost hope that things will ever fully turn around, but I still hope that Britney can find peace.” Both statements express Federline’s perspective, not independently verified conclusions about the family.
