Google released PAC-MAN: Halloween 2025 Edition on October 30, 2025, celebrating 45 years of PAC-MAN with a playable Halloween-themed Doodle. It has eight levels, including four haunted-house mazes. The original homepage promotion ran October 30 and 31, 2025; the archived game is available through Google’s official Doodle page.
What is in the Halloween PAC-MAN Doodle?
This is an interactive game, not just a Halloween illustration or a search-result Easter egg. Its basic objective is familiar: guide PAC-MAN through mazes, collect dots and avoid Blinky, Inky, Pinky and Clyde. Power Pellets let PAC-MAN turn the tables and chase the ghosts.
The game has eight levels in total. Four are unique haunted-house mazes, each themed around the personality of an associated ghost. Google says those maze designs were created in partnership with Bandai Namco Entertainment. That describes the haunted-house collaboration; it does not mean all eight levels are haunted houses.
How to play the archived Doodle
- Open the official PAC-MAN: Halloween 2025 Edition archive page.
- Start the playable Doodle and follow the control instructions shown in the game.
- Navigate the mazes, collect dots, avoid the ghosts and use Power Pellets when you want to pursue them.
The official announcement does not provide a written control map, so use the instructions displayed in the game rather than assuming particular keyboard or touchscreen controls. If the game does not start from a homepage search, open the archive page directly. If the layout is difficult to use on a phone, trying a desktop browser is a practical fallback, not a stated Google requirement.

When was it on Google’s homepage?
Google promoted the Doodle on its homepage on October 30 and October 31, 2025. Those dates are the original launch window, not a promise that it will reappear on the homepage for Halloween 2026. The archive is the appropriate place to revisit it now.
How this edition relates to Google’s original PAC-MAN Doodle
The Halloween game is a later themed entry in Google’s PAC-MAN Doodle history. On May 21, 2010, Google published a playable PAC-MAN Doodle for the game’s 30th anniversary. Google identifies that 2010 release as its first interactive game Doodle; it reproduced the original game’s logic, graphics and sounds. The 2025 edition keeps the maze-and-ghost premise but adds its own Halloween setting and haunted-house levels.
