Reacher Season 4 is no longer upcoming: all eight episodes are streaming on Prime Video. The series remains one of the platform’s biggest global hits, but the available rankings do not establish it as the world’s most popular show across all services.
Is Reacher Season 4 out?
Yes. Prime Video’s current series guide says all eight Season 4 episodes are streaming. The Prime Video catalog lists the eighth episode as released September 15, 2026.
Season 4 adapts Lee Child’s Gone Tomorrow, the 13th novel in the Jack Reacher series. Its story begins with Reacher encountering a distressed stranger on a subway, an event that draws him into a deadly mystery. Alan Ritchson returns as Reacher.
How popular is Reacher?
The clearest evidence supports calling Reacher one of Prime Video’s biggest global series—not claiming it is the number-one television show worldwide. Three recent audience measures point in that direction, but they count different things:

| Measure | Result | What it counts |
|---|---|---|
| Season 4 audience | 66 million global viewers in the first 28 days, according to Prime Video / Amazon MGM Studios in 2026 | A studio-reported global audience figure for the season’s first 28 days |
| Amazon weekly ranking | No. 2 worldwide among Prime Original series for September 21–27, 2026 | Prime Video accounts worldwide that watched any available season—not only episodes released that week |
| Nielsen U.S. streaming chart | No. 3 for September 14–20, 2026, with 1,420 million minutes across 32 episodes | Viewing minutes among titles covered by Nielsen’s U.S. streaming measurement |
The studio said Season 4 ranked among the five most-viewed original seasons in Prime Video history and surpassed Season 3’s performance. That is a platform-reported comparison, not an independent cross-service ranking. The studio’s Season 4 figure covers 28 days; its cited Season 3 comparison uses a different first-19-days window, so the two audience totals should not be treated as like-for-like.
Amazon’s ranking is limited to Prime Originals and uses accounts that watched any available season. Its app rankings, by contrast, use shorter, country-specific windows. Nielsen’s result is U.S.-only and ranks minutes, not global viewers. These figures show strong performance within their respective measures; they do not provide a single, comparable ranking of every television show worldwide. Amazon explains its ranking and methodology, while Nielsen publishes its Top 10 chart.

What comes after Season 4?
Reacher has been renewed through Season 6. In its September 28, 2026 announcement, the studio said Season 5 production was underway in Toronto and that the season adapts Lee Child’s Make Me, the 20th Reacher novel. The announcement did not give a release date for Season 5 or Season 6. It also reported that the franchise had reached more than 200 million viewers worldwide since Season 1 launched in 2022. These are figures reported by Prime Video / Amazon MGM Studios, not independent all-platform audience measurements. Read the studio’s renewal announcement.

Season 4 is based on Gone Tomorrow, Lee Child’s 13th Jack Reacher novel. The same Prime Video guide identifies Make Me as the source for Season 5. Readers who want the original story behind Season 4 can look for Gone Tomorrow and compare Child’s novel with the adaptation.
