He was one of several high-profile entertainers and public figures who supported Harris; Donald Trump also had prominent celebrity supporters. The names below are a representative selection, not an objective ranking: coverage, campaign appearances and perceived impact are different ways to measure prominence.
What LeBron James said in his Harris endorsement
Five days before the November 5, 2024 election, the professional basketball player posted: “What are we even talking about here?? When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!” Reuters, republished by Investing.com, and the Los Angeles Times reported the endorsement.
The Times reported that James shared a video compilation alongside his message. It opened with a joke by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally, included Trump soundbites and ended with the words “Hate Takes Us Back.”
Prominent celebrity supporters of Harris
Harris’s supporters included entertainers who made public endorsements as well as artists who appeared at campaign events. Those acts are related, but not interchangeable.

- Explicit endorsements: Reuters named Meryl Streep, Chris Rock, Oprah Winfrey, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift among celebrities who had endorsed Harris.
- Campaign-event appearances or performances: The Associated Press mentioned Bruce Springsteen, Swift, Beyoncé, Stevie Wonder, Willie Nelson, Spike Lee and Samuel L. Jackson in its report on final-week campaign events. An appearance or performance at an event does not, by itself, establish a separate endorsement.
These examples reflect prominent names reported during the campaign, not a complete list. The Axios roundup also tracked endorsements as the campaign unfolded.
Prominent celebrity supporters of Trump
Trump also drew support from public figures in entertainment and other fields. The AP identified Kid Rock, Waka Flocka Flame and Hulk Hogan as prominent supporters. Axios’s roundup also listed Dave Portnoy, Dennis Quaid, Roseanne Barr and Jon Voight.
Rank #2
As with Harris’s supporters, a public endorsement should be distinguished from a rally appearance or performance. Lists compiled by news outlets provide examples, not a standardized measure of celebrity status, audience size or campaign influence.

A November 2024 Harvard-Harris poll report asked respondents about endorsement awareness, whether endorsements affected their own presidential choice, and which endorsements they thought had the biggest impact. The responses describe what people reported or perceived; they do not establish that an endorsement changed votes.

- Asked how much endorsements affected their own choice, 52% said Elon Musk’s endorsement had no impact at all. The same response was given for Joe Rogan by 55%, Taylor Swift by 70%, Beyoncé by 72%, Oprah by 73% and Leonardo DiCaprio by 72%.
- Asked which endorsements had the biggest impact on the election, 71% selected Musk. Respondents could select multiple names, so this was not a winner-takes-all ranking.
- For Taylor Swift, 49% of Democratic respondents selected her as having the biggest impact, compared with 21% of Republicans and 35% of independents or others.
- For Joe Rogan, the corresponding figures were 29% of Democrats, 54% of Republicans and 44% of independents or others.
The poll’s figures are perceptions and self-reports, not evidence of how many votes an endorsement caused to change. Its results also show why “biggest” depends on the question: perceived election impact, reported effect on one’s own choice and prominence in campaign coverage are distinct measures.
