In the U.S., TRON: Ares became available to buy digitally on December 2, 2025, arrived on Blu-ray January 6, 2026, and began streaming on Disney+ January 7, 2026. Disney’s official materials confirm the Blu-ray date, but do not establish a DVD release date or a rental date for every video-on-demand service.

When did TRON: Ares start streaming?
TRON: Ares began streaming on Disney+ on January 7, 2026, according to Disney+’s December 30, 2025 announcement. Disney’s title page also lists the film. Streaming catalogs can vary by country, so check the Disney+ service in your market for current access.
Digital purchase and VOD: what is confirmed?
Disney confirmed digital purchase availability beginning December 2, 2025, through its official film page and Disney Video promotion. “VOD” may refer to either buying or renting a film. The announcement confirms the purchase timing, not when each retailer began offering rentals; check the retailer’s current listing for rental availability and terms.
Blu-ray and DVD release information
Disney’s official materials set the Blu-ray date at January 6, 2026. They do not establish a DVD release date. Because the formats are distinct, January 6 should not be presented as a confirmed DVD date. Check an official Disney or local retailer listing for DVD availability and any edition-specific details.
