She described a difficult night, but did not disclose why the girls had been hospitalized.
What happened to Kelly Stafford’s daughters?
People, in a report syndicated by Yahoo Entertainment, said Kelly posted a hospital-bed photo of two daughters to Instagram Stories on Jan. 11, 2025. She wrote, “Last night was long,” and said the children were back in bed and sleeping, with one exception. The report did not identify the two girls in the image.
The family was in Arizona for Matthew Stafford’s Rams game against the Minnesota Vikings on Jan. 13. On Jan. 12, Kelly wrote that they had “Found our happy place in AZ” while still hurting. She later posted a photo of all four daughters asleep with the words, “Never ending. My poor girls.”
Why were Kelly Stafford’s daughters hospitalized?
The reason was not disclosed in the Jan. 13 report. It provided no diagnosis or treatment details, so the available account does not establish what caused the hospitalization.

What did Kelly Stafford say afterward?
A follow-up report dated Jan. 14 said Kelly shared that one daughter, while sick, asked whether her father’s team was still winning and “couldn’t wait to be in his arms.” That is wording attributed to Kelly’s social-media post by the report, not additional medical information.
How many children do Kelly and Matthew Stafford have?
The Jan. 13 report said the couple have four daughters: twins Sawyer and Chandler, then seven years old; Harper, six; and Tyler, four. Those ages were reported in January 2025 and should not be read as current ages. The report did not say which two daughters were shown in the hospital photo.
