El episodio sucedió durante una presentación en Ciudad de México vinculada a la gira +Pretty +Dirty World Tour. Noticias Caracol publicó un video y una crónica el 10 de agosto de 2025; EFE y El País informaron sobre el incidente el 11 de agosto. Qué le dijo Maluma a la asistente
El cantante preguntó a la mujer cuántos meses tenía el bebé y si consideraba buena idea llevarlo a un concierto con sonido muy alto. Le pidió que le protegiera los oídos y la cuestionó por moverlo al ritmo de la música. «La próxima vez protéjale los oídos», dijo, según EFE. EFE

¿Se midió el volumen del concierto?
Las crónicas disponibles no informan de una medición instrumental de los decibelios durante la actuación. La referencia a un sonido muy alto es parte de lo que Maluma dijo en el escenario; no permite establecer cuánto ruido recibió el bebé ni determinar clínicamente si sufrió daño auditivo.
Como contexto general, la Organización Mundial de la Salud indicó en 2022 que más de mil millones de personas de 12 a 35 años corren riesgo de pérdida auditiva por exposición prolongada y excesiva a música alta y otros sonidos recreativos. Qué recomienda la OMS para eventos con música amplificada
El estándar mundial de la OMS para eventos propone medidas que corresponden tanto a quienes organizan el recinto como a la protección del público. Entre sus componentes están un nivel sonoro promedio máximo de 100 dB, la monitorización del sonido, el diseño acústico y de los sistemas, la disponibilidad de protección auditiva con instrucciones, zonas tranquilas y capacitación e información para el personal. Ese límite es una pauta del estándar de eventos: no es una medición del concierto de Maluma ni una garantía de que cualquier nivel por debajo de él sea inocuo para cada persona. La OMS advierte que el riesgo depende de la exposición al sonido; un especialista en otorrinolaringología consultado por Cadena SER señaló que una exposición prolongada a ruido intenso puede dañar la audición. Qué tener en cuenta si se asiste con niños
- Priorizar la exposición: la protección auditiva no convierte un concierto amplificado en una actividad recomendable para un bebé. Si el sonido es intenso o no hay una zona tranquila disponible, evitar llevarlo o retirarse es una medida más prudente que confiar únicamente en protectores.
- Consultar las medidas del evento: averiguar si se monitorizan los niveles sonoros, si hay zonas tranquilas y si se ofrece protección auditiva apropiada para niños.
- Usar protección apropiada si la exposición no puede evitarse: elegir protectores diseñados para niños y seguir las instrucciones de ajuste y uso.
