Brittany Mahomes disclosed in an Instagram Story on March 6, 2024, that she had a fractured back. She paired the news with a reminder about pelvic-floor care after having children, but did not say that childbirth or a pelvic-floor issue caused the fracture. In later updates, she said she was doing well, while trainer posts reported by E! News described a gradual return to training.
What Brittany Mahomes disclosed

The post connected her reminder to her own experience as a mother, but it did not explain how the back fracture happened. ABC News reported that Mahomes had not publicly provided further details or stated a connection between pelvic-floor health and her injury. The sources do not identify the fracture’s location, imaging, clinical diagnosis, or treatment. ABC News’s March 11 report

June 2024: a gradual return to lifting
E! News reported that trainer Kirsty Rae wrote in an Instagram Story on June 14, 2024: “Back pain has resolved so we are slowly getting back to overhead lifts with lighter weight.” This was a training update attributed to Rae, not a clinical assessment of Mahomes’s back. E! News’s June 14 report
January 2026: trainer-reported progress
E! News reported on January 7, 2026, that trainer Kristy Rae described Mahomes’s rehabilitation as beginning with severe pain and limited movement, followed by increasing strength. The account was based on a since-expired Instagram Story, so it is secondary reporting rather than a current direct statement from Mahomes or a medical report. E! News’s January 7, 2026 report

What the pelvic-floor reminder does—and does not—establish
ABC News describes the pelvic floor generally as muscles and tissues at the bottom of the pelvis that support pelvic organs, and its coverage discusses pelvic-floor complications. That background does not establish anything about the cause of Mahomes’s fracture. Her post is a personal reminder, not evidence that childbirth, pelvic-floor dysfunction, or a particular activity caused her back injury. ABC News’s pelvic-floor context
