Made on the Left: the confirmed 2026 market
Made on the Left’s organiser lists its Christmas Market for Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2026, from 10am to 5pm at Esplanade Park in Fremantle. Entry is free. The event page says more than 100 Western Australian artists and designers are expected, with fashion, jewellery, art, ceramics, homewares, skincare, food trucks and artisan treats. The organiser describes the market as family- and pet-friendly. Check the organiser’s event page for the latest details before travelling.
Made on the Left focuses on independently made Western Australian art, design, fashion and homewares. Founded in 2008, it says its markets are juried: stallholders are selected for distinctive handmade or designer work made by the artist in Western Australia, with consideration given to whether similar products are already oversupplied at a particular market. That makes the event a place to browse local creative work, from wearable pieces to objects for the home, rather than a general retail market. What the October 2025 weekend included
The original weekend guide referred to two separate events on 18–19 October 2025. The Made on the Left Christmas Market ran at Esplanade Park from 10am to 5pm on both days, with more than 100 WA artists and designers. Its reported range included art, fashion, jewellery, homewares and lifestyle goods, with examples such as quirky jewellery, sustainable fashion, small-batch skincare and original art. Entry was reported as free, and the market as family- and dog-friendly. These details describe the past event, not a substitute schedule for November 2026. The Diwali Fair was a separate, past event
The E Shed Markets Diwali Fair was reported for Saturday 18 October 2025, not as part of the Made on the Left market. The report said Indian food and designer stalls began at 4:30pm, followed by live music and dance in a cultural program from 6pm. It also listed complimentary henna painting and free entry, and said the fair was held in conjunction with Fremantle Ports and Ahinsa Australia. Those are historical details from the 2025 report; no 2026 Fremantle Diwali Fair date or program is confirmed here. Check with E Shed Markets, Fremantle Ports or Ahinsa Australia for any future announcement before planning around a fair.
Planning a visit
- For the market: The listed date is 21–22 November 2026, 10am–5pm, at Esplanade Park, with free entry. Confirm the schedule on Made on the Left’s event page before setting out.
- For Diwali programming: Do not rely on the October 2025 listing as evidence of a recurring event. Verify a new date, venue and program with an organiser or host.
- For a gift browse: The 2026 market listing names categories including jewellery, fashion, ceramics, art and homewares, but individual stallholders and stock may vary; no particular vendor or item is guaranteed.
