For a first watch, follow Season 1 → Jujutsu Kaisen 0 → Season 2 → Season 3. The film is a prequel in the story timeline, but it was released after Season 1; watching it there lets the series introduce its characters before the prequel adds context. If you’re wondering where Jujutsu Kaisen 0 goes, put it after Season 1 for the recommended viewing order, or between Season 2 episodes 1–5 and Season 1 for strict chronology.
Recommended first-watch order
- Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1
- Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (the prequel film)
- Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2
- Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3
Hulu’s US guide, dated August 19, 2026, recommends release order for first-time viewers, noting that it preserves major reveals and introduces key characters as intended. Read Hulu’s watch-order guide.
Chronological order, if you want the story timeline
- Season 2, episodes 1–5: Gojo’s Past, also known as Hidden Inventory / Premature Death.
- Jujutsu Kaisen 0
- Season 1
- Season 2, episodes 6–23: Shibuya Incident.
- Season 3
This order follows the events in story chronology, but it changes the reveal sequence. It is a reasonable choice for a returning viewer or someone who specifically wants the timeline in order; for newcomers, release order is the clearer starting point. Hulu’s guide provides this episode split and sequence.
Where the films fit
Jujutsu Kaisen 0
This prequel film belongs in a complete watch-through. Watch it after Season 1 for the recommended first-viewing sequence, or after Season 2 episodes 1–5 and before Season 1 for chronological viewing.
#1 Best Overall
Hidden Inventory / Premature Death compilation
The official anime site lists a compilation film for Hidden Inventory / Premature Death, the arc covered by Season 2 episodes 1–5. It is an alternate presentation of that opening arc, not an additional story chapter you need to watch after those episodes. Choose the compilation or the episodes rather than repeating the same arc.
Shibuya Ă— Culling Game film
The official movie page lists a separate Shibuya Ă— Culling Game film, but the available listing does not establish its exact episode contents or how it fits into a viewing sequence. The season-and-film orders above do not depend on watching it.

How to watch it where you live
Streaming catalogs vary by country, and a listing in one territory does not guarantee availability elsewhere. The official Japanese ON AIR page lists streaming providers for Seasons 1–3, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, and the Hidden Inventory / Premature Death compilation. Its Season 3 providers are Japanese services and include subscription, rental, and ad-supported options.

- The disk has English audio and subtitles.
For the United States, Hulu’s guide dated August 19, 2026 says all episodes are available on Hulu with Japanese audio and English subtitles, as well as an English dub. Treat that as a dated US-specific catalog statement, not a guarantee for other countries or a permanent listing. Check local services for current availability and audio or subtitle choices.
