Twilight takes place in Forks, Washington, but the 2008 film was shot across Oregon, with some Washington locations. Oregon supplied much of the on-screen geography: St. Helens stood in for Port Angeles, while locations including Silver Falls State Park and the Carver Cafe provided recognizable settings.
Was Twilight filmed in Forks, Washington?
Forks is the story’s setting, not the main filming base. The Oregon Film Office’s filmography lists the 2008 movie with locations across Oregon, and Travel Oregon documents several specific places used in the film. The distinction matters: a scene may be set in Washington in the story while having been filmed in Oregon.

Oregon Film’s list names Portland, Oxbow Park, St. Helens, Carver, Ecola State Park, Silver Falls State Park, Estacada, Vernonia, Damascus, the Columbia River Gorge, and Oregon City as filming areas. The list establishes the production’s broad Oregon footprint; it is not a scene-by-scene location record. Oregon Film filmography

Silver Falls State Park supplied notable scenes
Travel Oregon identifies Silver Falls State Park as a location for notable scenes. That supports the park-level attribution, not every specific trail, waterfall, or shot sometimes named elsewhere. The park’s Trail of Ten Falls is a 7.2-mile loop, according to Travel Oregon; that is a visitor-trail distance, not a measure of filming activity. Check the park’s current conditions before setting out.
The Carver Cafe is tied to Bella and Charlie’s meal
Travel Oregon identifies the Carver Cafe in Damascus as the setting for Bella’s meal with her father, Charlie. It is an operating business location rather than a public park, so confirm its current business hours and visitor policies before making it a stop. Other Oregon areas in the filmography
Oregon Film’s location list also includes Portland, Oxbow Park, Carver, Estacada, Vernonia, Damascus, the Columbia River Gorge, and Oregon City, as well as the named state parks and St. Helens. The filmography does not assign a particular scene to every area, so these are best treated as production-location leads rather than precise scene claims.

For a practical starting point, Travel Oregon’s St. Helens guide reports that the Columbia County Historical Society & Museum Association has a map plotting eight scenes.
