The familiar faces from Saved by the Bell went on to very different careers: several continued acting, Mario Lopez became a prominent host, and two key cast members have died. This update follows the best-known Bayside cast through their later work and the 2020 revival; it does not treat past credits as current jobs.
Where are the best-known Saved by the Bell cast members now?
The NBC sitcom followed students at Bayside High from 1989 to 1993. Its best-known young cast included Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez, Tiffani Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkley, Lark Voorhies and Dustin Diamond. Dennis Haskins, who played Principal Richard Belding, is also central to the show’s legacy.
Several surviving stars reunited as their original characters for the Saved by the Bell revival, which premiered in 2020. That reunion was a past project, not evidence that the actors still work on the show.
Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack Morris)
Gosselaar built a long television career after playing Zack, with roles in NYPD Blue, Franklin & Bash, Mixed-ish and Found. Found aired from 2023 to 2025, so it should be understood as a recent credit rather than a current series. He reprised Zack for the 2020 revival.

Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater)
Lopez continued acting and became widely associated with entertainment hosting and reporting, including work on Extra. He returned as Slater in the 2020 revival. Those career highlights do not establish his exact present-day hosting schedule.
Tiffani Thiessen (Kelly Kapowski)
Thiessen continued acting in projects including Beverly Hills, 90210, White Collar and Alexa & Katie. She also hosted the food series Dinner at Tiffani’s and reprised Kelly in the revival. These are notable past credits, not a verified current work schedule.

After the original sitcom, Berkley appeared in films including Showgirls, The First Wives Club and Any Given Sunday, followed by further television roles. She returned as Jessie for the 2020 revival.
Lark Voorhies (Lisa Turtle)
Voorhies continued screen work in series including Days of Our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful, wrote books and made a cameo in the revival. Her return followed an earlier public concern that she had been excluded. Her private life and health should not be treated as material for speculation.

Diamond continued appearing in entertainment projects after Saved by the Bell and published Behind the Bell in 2009. He died on February 1, 2021, aged 44, before the revival was released.
The book is a firsthand account, not an impartial or uncontested history: former costars disputed aspects of it, and Diamond later said it was ghostwritten. Retail availability is not established here.

Dennis Haskins (Principal Richard Belding)
Haskins continued playing Belding in Saved by the Bell: The New Class and appeared in other screen roles. In September 2026, Us Weekly reported that his spokesperson confirmed his death at age 75. The report said no cause had been announced.

The Peacock revival premiered in 2020 and brought back Gosselaar as Zack, Lopez as Slater, Thiessen as Kelly, Berkley as Jessie and Voorhies as Lisa. It was a partial return of familiar characters, not a reunion of the entire original cast: Diamond had died before its release, and the coverage confirms these performers’ returns rather than a full-cast gathering.
Haskins died in September 2026. His representative, quoted by Us Weekly, said: “Everyone loved Mr. Belding and those of us who got to know Dennis, loved him even more.”
Further reading on Dustin Diamond
Diamond’s Behind the Bell (2009) offers another window into the show’s history, but its disputed reception and the author’s later statement that it was ghostwritten are important context. No current retailer listing or availability is established here.
