5 Seconds of Summer have already made their return to new releases: their sixth studio album, EVERYONE’S A STAR!, arrived on November 14, 2025. The band continued that album era with a 2026 remix release and tour dates, but official announcements reviewed here do not confirm another album or a tour beyond the current cycle.
Why the “comeback” already happened
In an October 23, 2025 announcement, the venue described “NOT OK” as 5SOS’s first official new music since 2022. That is a specific release-gap description—not evidence that the group broke up or formally announced a hiatus. The band’s label framed the subsequent album as a “new era” and a reinvention.

The album rollout included “NOT OK,” “Boyband,” and “Telephone Busy.” On November 14, 2025, Republic Records released EVERYONE’S A STAR!, the group’s sixth studio album. Universal Music Canada says it was recorded across 2024 and 2025 between Los Angeles and Nashville. Universal Music Canada’s album announcement gives the release details.
What the band has done since the album
The album’s touring cycle
The initial announcement for the EVERYONE’S A STAR! World Tour included European and UK dates, US dates, and a later Australian leg. Those were the plans announced at the time; they should not be treated as a live measure of current availability. Check the band’s or promoter’s official listings for dates and ticket status.

A 2026 remix release
On August 14, 2026, Universal Music Canada announced “Evolve CLUBSOS VOL. 1,” a dance-oriented new take on “Evolve,” a track from the album. The announcement described CLUBSOS as a new dance concept. This is evidence that the album era continued into 2026, not an announcement of a subsequent studio album. Read Universal Music Canada’s announcement.
Officially listed Tokyo shows
Universal Music Japan and promoter Creativeman list 5SOS shows at SGC HALL ARIAKE in Tokyo on November 21 and 22, 2026. The event page provides ticket information and notes that VIP upgrades are sold separately from concert admission. Check Creativeman’s event page for current ticket status, details, and its warning about unauthorized resale channels.

Has 5SOS announced what comes next?
The official materials cited here establish the 2025 album, its continuing 2026 release cycle, and selected tour dates. They do not announce a next studio album or a tour after this cycle. Until the band, label, or promoter confirms more, claims about a follow-up album or future tour are speculation—not a scheduled comeback announcement.
Where to find the album on physical formats
Universal Music Japan’s official artist catalog lists EVERYONE’S A STAR! in several CD editions, as well as a standard LP and a picture-disc LP. The catalog confirms that these formats exist; it does not establish current stock or which editions are available in every country. Check the listing and retailer carefully if choosing between a CD, standard LP, or picture disc. See the official 5SOS catalog at Universal Music Japan.

What “comeback” means in this case
“Comeback” is a fair shorthand for the return to official releases after the gap noted by the venue announcement. It can mislead if it suggests a reunion after a breakup: the cited official sources do not establish that 5SOS split up. The clearest description is that the band returned with a new album in 2025 and carried that era into 2026 with a remix and tour activity.
