Blake Griffin was publicly linked to Kendall Jenner in 2017, then to Francesca Aiello in 2018. Reports later placed Griffin and Aiello together again in 2023, and a September 2026 report described Jenner attending their “apparent wedding weekend.” That last wording is not independent confirmation that they married. Much of this timeline comes from entertainment reporting, including anonymous sources, rather than detailed public statements from Griffin, Jenner or Aiello.
At a glance: the reported timeline
| Period | What was reported | What the report establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Summer 2017 | Griffin and Jenner were linked after reported outings, including a double date. | Contemporary outlets reported them appearing together; sightings alone do not establish when a private relationship began. E! News, September 1, 2017; People’s retrospective timeline, as surfaced by Yahoo |
| Fall 2017–April 2018 | Outlets described the relationship as growing more serious, then reported strain after Griffin’s trade to Detroit and a split by April. | The seriousness and distance explanation relied on unnamed sources; the retrospective account dates the split to April. People’s retrospective timeline, as surfaced by Yahoo; E! News, February 28, 2018 |
| June 2018 | Griffin was first linked to Francesca Aiello in a report about the two leaving Nobu together. | This is the first reported link in the available chronology, not proof of an exact relationship start. People’s retrospective timeline, as surfaced by Yahoo |
| August 2020 | A retrospective report says Griffin described himself as single. | It indicates how he described his status at that point, not the status of any later relationship. People’s retrospective timeline, as surfaced by Yahoo |
| August 2023 | Griffin and Aiello were reported vacationing together in Sardinia. | The sighting supports a later reunion narrative; it does not establish that they dated continuously from 2018. People’s retrospective timeline, as surfaced by Yahoo |
| September 2026 | Sports Illustrated reported Jenner attended celebrations it called Griffin and Aiello’s “apparent wedding weekend.” | The report’s qualifier matters: it does not independently verify a marriage. Sports Illustrated, September 5, 2026 |
Kendall Jenner: the reported 2017–2018 relationship
How the public link began
In September 2017, E! News reported that Griffin and Jenner went on a double date with Hailey Baldwin and Chandler Parsons. Its account drew on an eyewitness and an unnamed source. Other retrospective coverage describes Jenner attending Griffin’s games and the pair going out together. These reports establish a public association, but they do not provide a definitive start date or a complete account of their private relationship.
What was said about its seriousness
Entertainment coverage later characterized the relationship as becoming more serious, but those descriptions were attributed to unnamed sources rather than to direct confirmation from either Griffin or Jenner. In 2018, Jenner made guarded comments about keeping her private life private, which should not be treated as a detailed confirmation of the relationship.
The Detroit trade and reported split
After Griffin was traded from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Detroit Pistons in early 2018, E! News quoted an unnamed insider saying the distance was straining the relationship. A later People-derived timeline places the split by April 2018. Neither account, as presented, is a direct statement from Griffin or Jenner confirming the cause or precise timing of the breakup.

Francesca Aiello: first linked in 2018, seen together again in 2023
The first reported link
A retrospective People account says Griffin and Aiello were first linked in June 2018, after they were reported leaving Nobu together. Aiello is the founder of Frankies Bikinis, a detail relevant to her public profile but separate from what can be established about the relationship.
Why the timeline is not necessarily continuous
The same retrospective account says Griffin described himself as single in August 2020. It later reports that he and Aiello vacationed together in Sardinia in August 2023. Taken together, those milestones support reports of a later reconnection; they do not show that the pair remained together without interruption between 2018 and 2023.
