In the U.S., August 2024 brought a mix of new series, films arriving on the service, older library titles and live sports to Prime Video. Highlights included Batman: Caped Crusader on August 1, One Fast Move on August 8, Jackpot! on August 15 and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 on August 29. Some entries were specifically marked as free with ads on Freevee; that label did not apply to every Prime Video listing.
Prime Video and Freevee highlights in the U.S.

The animated series was among the month’s headline arrivals. TV Guide names J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves and Bruce Timm among its producers and reports that Hamish Linklater voices Batman. The date refers to its scheduled U.S. arrival, not a claim about its availability today.

What was free with ads on Freevee?
TV Guide explicitly marked selected U.S. titles as available free with ads on Freevee. On August 1, those included Atomic Blonde, Free State of Jones, Ghostbusters (2016), Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Last Vegas, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Max Steel, The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland, The Host and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. Lethal Weapon Seasons 1–3 were marked Freevee for August 24.
The guide described Freevee as accessible through Prime Video without requiring a Prime membership. Its Freevee label applies only to the titles it identified; it does not mean all Prime Video listings were free. The cited schedule establishes what was announced for August 2024, not what remains in either catalog now.

U.S. and Australia schedules are different
Amazon’s official preview, published July 23, 2024, covers Australia rather than the U.S. It shares several headline dates with the U.S. guide—Batman: Caped Crusader (August 1), One Fast Move (August 8), Jackpot! (August 15), No Gain No Love (August 26) and The Rings of Power Season 2 (August 29)—but the regional slates are not interchangeable. Check the schedule for your market rather than treating either list as a universal release calendar. See Amazon Australia’s August 2024 preview for its market-specific highlights.
Does the August 2024 list show what is streaming now?
No. These are historical release dates. A title’s scheduled arrival in August 2024 does not establish that it is still available, included with a subscription, or offered in the same way today. Check the live Prime Video catalog in your region before planning a watch.
