It follows Holmes during the 34 days before she entered prison in 2023—not as she prepares for prison in 2026. As of October 4, 2026, its theatrical release is scheduled for October 16.
What is the Elizabeth Holmes documentary called?
You Can See Everything is the feature documentary about Holmes. The title “Shocking documentary follows Elizabeth Holmes as she prepares to go to prison” belongs to an ABC Nightline episode, not to the film itself. ABC lists that episode as Season 47, Episode 253, dated September 10, 2026, with a duration of 18 minutes 58 seconds and a TV-PG rating. ABC’s Nightline page says the program streams on ABC and Hulu.
The feature is directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim. A24’s film page says Holmes invited a skeptical crew to document her during the 34 days before prison; the project became a three-year journey. The crew’s filming period and the pre-prison span are different things: the film was shot over three years, while its stated starting point is the final 34 days before her incarceration.
Was Holmes preparing to go to prison when it was filmed?
Yes, but the timing is historical. The film’s central pre-prison period was in 2023. The Associated Press reports that Holmes entered a Texas prison in May 2023 after being convicted on four felony counts of fraud and conspiracy. The film’s 2026 release date does not mean she was preparing for prison then.

What is known about the film’s approach?
A24’s synopsis describes a skeptical crew documenting Holmes closely in the weeks before incarceration. That is the distributor’s framing, not an independent critical assessment. After a screening, director Nathan Fielder told Associated Press film writer Jake Coyle, “I am still struggling to this day to understand what I went through.” The comment conveys Fielder’s reported reaction, but it should not be mistaken for a synopsis or a verdict on the film.
