Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney opened Something About Her, a sandwich shop in West Hollywood, with a soft-opening celebration on May 16, 2024, followed by its grand opening on May 22. Bravo reported that Katie’s mother Teri Maloney, Madix’s boyfriend Daniel Wai, and The Valley cast members Janet Caperna and Kristen Doute attended the soft-opening celebration; that is not a confirmed guest list for the grand opening.
When did Something About Her open?
Bravo reported the soft-opening celebration on May 16, 2024, and the grand opening on May 22, 2024. The dates refer to separate events, and the familiar faces named in Bravo’s May 17 coverage were reported at the soft opening.
Which celebrities and friends attended the soft opening?
Bravo named four attendees: Teri Maloney, Katie’s mother; Daniel Wai, Ariana Madix’s boyfriend; and Janet Caperna and Kristen Doute, cast members of The Valley. The report described them among the familiar people at the celebration, not as a complete guest list. Bravo’s May 17, 2024 report covers the gathering.
What is Something About Her?
Something About Her is Madix and Maloney’s sandwich shop in West Hollywood. The owners described its aesthetic as a blend of California and Europe, with a romantic-comedy sensibility. Maloney called it “California country meets European cafe,” while Madix said they wanted it to feel “very California yet European.” Bravo credited the design to Jon Hutman and quoted Maloney describing the goal as “main-character energy in a rom-com.”

What was on the menu at opening?
Opening coverage described sandwiches, sweet teas, beer, Avaline wine, Loverboy hard tea, and non-alcoholic drinks. One sandwich, “The Meg,” was described as a Greek-salad-style combination with tzatziki, feta, sun-dried tomato and herb mix, and romaine. These details come from 2024 opening coverage and should not be treated as a current menu. Bravo’s opening-day report also described the grand opening and the shop’s food.
What did the owners say about the shop’s future?
At the grand opening, Maloney said the owners hoped the first shop would succeed enough to support more locations: “This one, we need it to be a smashing success because we would love to have more locations.” That was an ambition, not an announcement that additional locations had been secured. Bravo’s May 22, 2024 coverage reported the grand opening and her comments.

Is Something About Her open now, and where is it?
Bravo reported in March 2026 that the business remained open and was expanding online orders while working further into catering. In that interview, Maloney said, “It’s going really good.” She also described the early months as busy and said the team had to work through prep and service logistics; those are her reported observations, not audited business figures. Read Bravo’s March 18, 2026 update for that account.
The official site’s search listing gave the address as 640 N. Robertson Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069, and listed hours of 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday closed. The site displayed a maintenance page when opened, so those listing details—and current hours, menu, and ordering availability—should be checked directly before planning a visit. The March 2026 report establishes online ordering and catering as developments at that time, not a guarantee that either service is available today.
