FireAid was a two-venue benefit concert held January 30, 2025, in Inglewood, California, to support Los Angeles wildfire recovery and prevention. Billie Eilish, Green Day and Joni Mitchell were among the headliners, with Eilish joining Green Day onstage at the Kia Forum.
When and where was FireAid?
FireAid took place on January 30, 2025, at Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. Organizers announced the lineup on January 16. The event brought artists together across both venues and was promoted as a broadcast and streaming benefit. FireAid’s event information listed different performers for each venue.
Who performed at the FireAid benefit concert?
The announced schedule placed Billie Eilish at Intuit Dome, while Green Day and Joni Mitchell were listed for the Kia Forum. The distinction between the announced venue assignments and what happened onstage matters: Eilish also appeared at the Kia Forum during Green Day’s set.
Green Day and Billie Eilish at the Kia Forum
According to the Associated Press’s January 30 event report, Green Day opened the Kia Forum show with “Last Night on Earth,” and Eilish joined them for a surprise appearance. The AP described it as the night’s first surprise. The AP’s event report captures the collaboration as it happened.

What was FireAid raising money for?
Organizers said the benefit aimed to raise funds for critical wildfire recovery and prevention efforts in the Los Angeles area. In a January 2025 press release, Hulu quoted organizers describing that aim as “FireAid aims to raise funds for critical wildfire recovery and prevention efforts.” The Hulu press release also listed broadcast and streaming partners. Organizers said the LA Clippers would cover event expenses so proceeds could go to designated beneficiaries.

How much did FireAid raise, and how much was granted?
In February 2025, FireAid reported that the event had raised an estimated $100 million and announced an initial $50 million in grants for immediate wildfire relief. These are two different figures: the first was FireAid’s estimate of funds raised, while the second was the amount in its first announced grant round. FireAid’s official site reported the totals.
FireAid’s official-site wording said remaining funds were to be announced and dispersed in December 2025. That was the organization’s stated plan; the available information does not establish that the planned dispersal was completed or provide a final audited accounting of receipts and distributions. The reported fundraising total should therefore not be read as a verified final amount delivered to recipients.

How widely was the benefit broadcast?
The Associated Press reported that more than 50 million people watched across 28 broadcast channels and streaming platforms. That is a media-reported audience figure, not an audited measurement established in the cited material. The event’s reach reflected its multi-platform distribution, while its stated financial purpose was to support recovery and prevention rather than to claim that the concert itself prevented fires.
