Lost ended on May 23, 2010, after six seasons. Fifteen years later, its central cast had taken different paths: many continued in television and film, while Matthew Fox took an extended break from acting before returning to promote a new series in 2026. Here are selected career highlights—not a complete account of every cast member’s work or private life.
How the cast’s careers diverged after Lost
There was no single post-finale trajectory. Some actors became familiar faces in later television dramas, others moved between film, television, voice work or hosting, and Fox stepped away from acting for an extended period. The credits below are selected highlights reported by Parade; they are not a live check of each actor’s current schedule.
Matthew Fox: an extended break, then a return
After playing Jack Shephard, Fox appeared in films including Alex Cross (2012) and World War Z (2013), then took an extended break from acting. In a report published June 2026, El País said he had moved to Italy in 2014 and described family time as the main reason for stepping away. The outlet quoted him in Spanish: “Para mí, alejarme de la actuación fue más bien para pasar tiempo con mi familia” (“For me, stepping away from acting was more about spending time with my family”). By June 2026, Fox was promoting The Madison; the available reporting does not support describing his break as permanent.
Josh Holloway and the steady run of television roles
Holloway, who played Sawyer, continued working extensively in television after Lost. His post-series credits include leading roles in Intelligence, Colony, Yellowstone and Duster; Parade also mentions The Paper. These are career highlights, not a claim that every title is currently airing.

Streaming availability depends on the date and the viewer’s country. Reports have named different services: TV Answer Man said Hulu carried all six seasons in September 2026, while Just Jared reported Netflix carried the series in February 2026. Neither report is an official, territory-by-territory catalog, and streaming rights can change. Check the service’s own catalog for your location before subscribing or planning a rewatch. A DVD or Blu-ray set may also be an option, but the available reporting does not establish a particular edition or current listing.
