Those posts do not establish what caused her death: the reports reviewed here said no cause had been publicly disclosed.
What health issues did Makena White speak about?
White was reported to have written about heart and vascular issues on social media. Complex reported that she described herself on X as a “vascular and cardiac surgery nerd.” The medical details available publicly in the reporting are her reported posts, not medical records or statements from a clinician.
Planned procedures described in a June post
Hindustan Times quoted a June 2, 2025 post in which White wrote: “Happy RBC Canadian Open week & 1st week of June! 2 cardiac & 1 vascular surgery standing between me and watching my crush play in my home country!” The wording describes procedures she said were ahead of her; it does not establish that they took place.
Tachycardia and a hospital-bed post
Hindustan Times also quoted a hospital-bed post captioned “We’re dialled #GolfsLongestDay,” followed by White’s clarification: “By dialled, I mean tachycardic.” Tachycardia refers to a faster-than-normal heart rate, but this reported caption alone does not provide a diagnosis, explain its context or show how it related to her later death.
