Acton stopped selling RocketSkates by August 2022, according to a dated update from the Shark Tank Blog. The company had rebranded as Acton Global and shifted toward electric bikes and scooters for cities and large campuses; an electric skateboard was also listed. The evidence reviewed does not establish that Acton completed a deal on Shark Tank.
What Acton pitched on Shark Tank
Founder Peter Treadway appeared in the Season 7 premiere to pitch Acton’s RocketSkates and M Scooters. RocketSkates were compact electric skates using brushless hub motors; the M Scooter was another electric personal-transport product. The Shark Tank Blog’s recap says Treadway sought $1 million for 3.5% equity.
The recap also attributes several historical business figures to Treadway’s pitch: $1 million in sales in 2014, $2 million by halfway through 2015, and a $20 million target for 2015. It reports more than 20 patents and manufacturing costs at about 40% of retail price. These are pitch-era claims recorded by a secondary source, not independently audited results.
The same recap reports that two Kickstarter campaigns raised $622,707 combined: $71,982 for the M Scooter and $550,725 for RocketSkates. A retailer’s RocketSkates listing described a top speed of up to 12 mph, a range of up to 10 miles per charge, two brushless DC motors, app-based route tracking, and a 90-minute charge time. Those are retailer-listed specifications, not independent test results, and the listing does not establish current availability.

Did Acton get a Shark Tank deal?
The Shark Tank Blog recounts an offer from Kevin O’Leary of $1 million for 15%. Treadway countered first at 6%, then at 8%, and O’Leary did not change his terms. The recap does not document an agreed investment. A 2025 directory labels the outcome “No deal,” but its narrative conflicts with that label by claiming Mark Cuban made an accepted late offer. Given that contradiction, a completed deal is not established by the available accounts.
How Acton moved beyond RocketSkates
In an August 2022 update, the Shark Tank Blog reported that Acton no longer sold its skates. It said the company had rebranded as Acton Global and moved its focus to electric bikes and scooters for cities and large campuses, while also selling an electric skateboard.

A February 2023 update from the same blog reported that Acton’s electric bikes were in more than 100 cities and put annual revenue at $6 million. These are dated secondary-source figures, not audited financial data or verified 2026 totals. The available evidence does not establish Acton’s current ownership, operations, product catalog, or whether RocketSkates can still be found in stock.
