IRL Pro is an Android streaming app; the main budget alternatives are other mobile apps, a relay added only when your workflow needs one, or a separate multi-connection setup. These are different kinds of tools, not interchangeable apps. For a YouTube channel you want to keep live around the clock with uploaded videos rather than a live camera, StreamNeo is a separate option: it runs that stream from the cloud.
Choose the kind of alternative you actually need
An IRL stream sends live camera footage as you move. Your phone app encodes the video and sends it over a mobile connection. A relay, if used, receives that feed and forwards it; it does not replace the encoder. A bonded system combines multiple connections, often with dedicated equipment, to improve the field workflow. Decide which problem you are trying to solve before paying for more gear.
| Option | What it does | Budget question | What to compare |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mobile app such as IRL Pro | Encodes and sends live video from a phone | Is the app itself free, and does it meet your needs? | Phone support, destinations, protocols, overlays, encoder settings, and connection bonding |
| Relay or server service | Receives an encoder feed and forwards it or supports the broadcast path | What recurring fee, bandwidth limits, and additional software are involved? | RTMP, SRT or SRTLA support; data caps; bitrate and resolution limits; server location; drop protection |
| Bonded hardware system | Combines streaming hardware and connectivity for a managed field setup | Is the reliability benefit worth the equipment and service cost? | Upfront and recurring costs, supported networks, weight, battery, and setup |
Start with a phone app if you already have a suitable phone
IRL Pro remains an Android reference point
Google Play describes IRL Pro as an Android streaming application for Twitch, YouTube, and other services. Its listing says it was updated on 18 September 2024; that date is not proof of current maintenance, so check the live listing for availability and current features before installing or relying on it. A creator who is already satisfied with phone-based broadcasting may not need dedicated hardware.
Check app alternatives against your actual requirements
PRISM Live Studio, Larix Broadcaster, and Moblin are names to investigate, but current India storefront availability, prices, and feature details are not established here. Check each official listing and documentation before choosing. In particular, verify the destination you need, protocol support, device compatibility, encoder controls, and whether the app can combine connections. Do not assume a different mobile app has all of IRL Pro’s features or is a drop-in replacement.
#1 Best Overall
When one mobile connection is not enough
The Enhanced IRL technical guide says IRL Pro uses RTMP and SRT over one connection, without bonding. For a workflow that combines multiple SIM connections, it points to SRTLA with Moblin or BELABOX. That is a different, more involved workflow—not evidence that either is a simple app replacement with identical features. Confirm the setup, compatible devices, destinations, and network requirements in the relevant official documentation before investing time or money.
Add a relay only when your broadcast path needs one
A relay is useful only if your workflow needs a server to receive and forward the phone encoder’s feed. It adds a service and another point to configure; it is not automatically necessary for a direct phone-to-platform stream.

IRLServer Standard
IRLServer lists its Standard plan at $9.99/month on the page captured for this comparison; the page year is not stated, so recheck its current terms. It lists RTMP, SRT, and SRTLA relay endpoints, a 20 Mb/s input bitrate maximum, uncapped resolution, and no data caps or overage fees. Users bring their own OBS, Streamlabs, or vMix. That means the relay is not a complete phone app: account for the separate encoder or receiving software and test the whole path before streaming.
Keep premium bonded hardware in a different budget category
Bonded systems can be relevant when a phone-and-app setup does not meet a creator’s field needs, but the cited vendor prices are not like-for-like app alternatives or independently verified quotes. The figures below are vendor comparison or listing prices captured in search; check directly for current pricing and what each configuration includes.

UnlimitedIRL says its backpack setup uses hot-swappable USB-C power banks for extended operation. For a lower-cost mobile kit, a compatible power bank can help with endurance, but it is supporting gear rather than an IRL Pro alternative. Check your phone’s charging standard, the bank’s output and capacity, cable compatibility, weight, and compatibility with any rig.
Keep the ongoing costs visible
- For an app-first setup, check whether the app itself is free, then budget for mobile data and any power accessories you need.
- For a relay, include the recurring service fee and any separate encoder or receiving software; verify current caps, bitrate limits, and terms.
- For bonded hardware, compare equipment cost and recurring service charges against the field reliability you actually need. Vendor starting prices are volatile and do not establish total ownership cost.
GoLiveIndia’s page displayed a promotional ₹799/month price in the captured material and describes YouTube live streaming for Indian creators. The capture year is not stated, and the exact fit of its service to a phone-based IRL workflow is not established. Check its current offer and workflow directly before treating it as an alternative.

Or let it run in the cloud
For a different use case—keeping a YouTube channel live with uploaded recordings rather than broadcasting a live camera—StreamNeo is #1: it runs continuously from the cloud, streams uploaded files at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and gives the first day free. Upload a recording or make a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on; StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, and the monthly option is $9.99 per month. This is for prerecorded-video streaming to YouTube, not live outdoor camera streaming. See StreamNeo or start the free first day.
