Yes—an Airtel Xstream Fiber connection can carry a continuous YouTube lofi stream if its measured upload speed stays comfortably above your encoder’s bitrate and the connection remains stable. Airtel’s advertised plan speed is not a guarantee of sustained upload or uninterrupted service at your home. Test the actual connection under normal household use, check your plan’s current data terms, and plan how you will recover from outages.
Check whether your Airtel connection can sustain the stream
Use an upload-speed test at the router and, ideally, repeat it at the time of day you intend to stream while the household is using the internet normally. YouTube notes that upload capacity may be lower than download capacity and recommends leaving 20% headroom above the total stream bitrate. Other devices sharing the connection can reduce the bandwidth available to the encoder. A wired connection is a practical way to connect a streaming computer to the router, but your actual upload and stability still need testing.
Airtel’s public plan page lists monthly examples such as ₹499 for up to 40 Mbps, ₹799 for up to 100 Mbps, ₹1599 for up to 300 Mbps, and ₹3999 for up to 1 Gbps, before taxes. These are advertised tiers, not measurements of upload at your address; Airtel says broadband speed varies by selected tariff. Local availability and account-specific upload terms may differ. Check the current plan details for your connection at Airtel’s broadband plans.
Choose a bitrate from measured upload, not the plan headline
YouTube’s current H.264 recommendations include 3–8 Mbps for 720p at 30 fps and 5–14 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps. They are platform recommendations, not proof that a particular Airtel connection can hold those rates. Choose a setting your connection can sustain with at least 20% upload headroom; allow more if the connection varies or is shared. A lofi loop with a relatively static image may look acceptable at a lower resolution and bitrate, but preview and test your actual audio and visuals before committing to a long broadcast.

Estimate data use and check Airtel’s FUP
A stream running continuously consumes substantial data. Estimate its use with this calculation:
Approximate GB per day = bitrate in Mbps × 10.8
This estimate assumes a constant bitrate for 24 hours and uses decimal gigabytes; audio and protocol overhead can change actual usage. For example, a 5 Mbps stream is about 54 GB per day before overhead. Multiply by the number of days you plan to run it, then compare the result with your plan’s current terms and any other household use.

- DUAL-BAND WIFI 6 ROUTER: Wi-Fi 6(802.11ax) technology achieves faster speeds, greater capacity and reduced network congestion compared to the previous gen. All WiFi routers require a separate modem. Dual-Band WiFi routers do not support the 6 GHz band.
- AX1800: Enjoy smoother and more stable streaming, gaming, downloading with 1.8 Gbps total bandwidth (up to 1200 Mbps on 5 GHz and up to 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz). Performance varies by conditions, distance to devices, and obstacles such as walls.
- CONNECT MORE DEVICES: Wi-Fi 6 technology communicates more data to more devices simultaneously using revolutionary OFDMA technology
- EXTENSIVE COVERAGE: Achieve the strong, reliable WiFi coverage with Archer AX1800 as it focuses signal strength to your devices far away using Beamforming technology, 4 high-gain antennas and an advanced front-end module (FEM) chipset
- OUR CYBERSECURITY COMMITMENT: TP-Link is a signatory of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Secure-by-Design pledge. This device is designed, built, and maintained, with advanced security as a core requirement.
Airtel’s displayed broadband terms state that after 3333 GB in a billing cycle, speed is reduced to 1 Mbps. The terms also say Airtel may amend the FUP. Check the terms for your own plan and location before relying on that threshold: it may not describe every account identically, and a post-threshold rate of 1 Mbps is far below the bitrate recommended for the 720p and 1080p H.264 examples above. See Airtel’s broadband terms.
Set up YouTube Live and your encoder
- Enable live streaming early. In YouTube Studio, request live-streaming access for the channel before launch. YouTube says first-time activation can take at least 24 hours, so do not leave this until broadcast day. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.
- Create a stream in Live Control Room. Create the broadcast and obtain its stream URL and stream key. Treat the key like a password: do not share it publicly, and reset it in YouTube if it is exposed. YouTube’s stream settings guidance explains managing the URL and key.
- Select a supported protocol and codec. YouTube recommends RTMPS; its current encoder guidance lists RTMP/RTMPS and H.264, H.265/HEVC, or AV1 ingestion. Choose a combination supported by your encoder and configure it for the stream.
- Set rate control and keyframes. Use constant bitrate (CBR) and a two-second keyframe interval, as YouTube recommends. Do not set the interval above four seconds.
- Choose resolution and bitrate conservatively. Start with a setting that fits your measured upload with headroom. YouTube’s H.264 recommendations are 3–8 Mbps for 720p30 and 5–14 Mbps for 1080p30. If upload fluctuates, begin at the lower end or test a lower resolution rather than selecting a rate your connection only reaches in ideal conditions.
- Run a realistic test. Send the actual lofi audio and moving visual, check the Live Control Room preview and stream health, and test during typical household network use. YouTube recommends testing before going live and monitoring the broadcast. If you need a local recording, check that the file is growing and that you have enough storage.
Plan for interruptions and recovery
A continuous stream depends on more than the fiber plan: power, router, streaming computer, encoder, and the route to YouTube can all fail. YouTube warns that a connectivity disruption can break a stream. Keep an eye on stream health and decide in advance who will notice a failure and restart the encoder or broadcast.

- Next-Gen Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Speeds: 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz bands ensure smoother streaming and faster downloads; support VPN server and VPN client¹
- A More Responsive Experience: Enjoy smooth gaming, video streaming, and live feeds simultaneously. OFDMA makes your Wi-Fi stronger by allowing multiple clients to share one band at the same time, cutting latency and jitter.²
- Expanded Wi-Fi Coverage: 4 high-gain external antennas and Beamforming technology combine to extend strong, reliable, Wi-Fi throughout your home.
- Improved Battery Life: Target Wake Time helps your devices to communicate efficiently while consuming less power.
- Improved Cooling Design: No heat ups, no throttles. A larger heat sink and redefined case design cools the WiFi 6 system and enables your network to stay at top speeds in more versatile environments.
- Brief local power loss: An appropriately sized UPS can keep the router and streaming computer powered for a limited period. Size it for the combined load and the runtime you need; it cannot keep Airtel’s upstream network running during an ISP outage.
- Router, computer, or encoder failure: Check power, cables, network access, and encoder status, then restart the affected equipment and reconnect using the stream settings in Live Control Room.
- ISP or wider network disruption: Wait for connectivity to return and check YouTube’s stream health before resuming. The public Airtel plan information does not establish uninterrupted service for a particular address.
- Bandwidth drop during the broadcast: Check whether household use has increased or upload has fallen, then reduce the encoder bitrate or resolution if needed. A speed test at a different time is not a guarantee of current capacity.
Design sessions around YouTube’s archive limit
Do not assume YouTube will preserve a complete replay of one uninterrupted 24-hour broadcast. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. If a complete replay matters, use broadcast sessions shorter than 12 hours and/or record locally with enough storage. A local recording is a separate backup, not a guarantee that YouTube will archive the live stream. See YouTube’s live-stream archive guidance.
Clear music and visual rights before going live
Having a track or image available online does not establish permission to use it in a continuous livestream, its replay, or monetized content. Obtain and retain the necessary rights for every track, sample, visual, and other asset, and check the applicable YouTube policies. Attribution, a music subscription, or calling the genre “lofi” does not by itself establish permission.
