Marvel Studios’ Hall H panel on Saturday, July 27, 2024, covered five film groupings: Deadpool & Wolverine, Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts*, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and the next two Avengers films. The biggest reveals were the full title of the Fantastic Four film, the Russo brothers directing both upcoming Avengers movies, and Robert Downey Jr. playing Victor Von Doom, also known as Doctor Doom—not Tony Stark.
This recap follows the panel’s order and separates announcements from footage shown only to the Hall H audience. Dates below are the theatrical plans reported at the time, not a statement of the current release schedule.
How the panel opened
The presentation began with a choir performing Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” as Deadpool variants danced. Rob Delaney joined Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige as the panel’s master of ceremonies. The event followed a surprise fan screening of Deadpool & Wolverine on the preceding Thursday; D23 also noted a drone and fireworks show at Petco Park. Marvel’s recap of the presentation is available in its official video recap.
D23’s July 28, 2024 panel recap said that the film’s opening pushed the Marvel Cinematic Universe past $30 billion in box office across 34 films. That is the figure reported in the 2024 recap, not a current franchise total.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps
Feige, director Matt Shakman, and the four principal cast members—Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach—appeared together. Marvel revealed the film’s complete title, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and described Galactus and the Silver Surfer as threats to Earth.
