Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

The hardest part is not keeping audio playing: it is securing permission for continuous live use and any saved replay, then maintaining a reliable encoder and connection. YouTube can still interrupt a licensed track if its rights holder has not allowlisted your channel.
1. Clear the music and visuals for live use
Before setting up the stream, confirm that you control the music or have written permission for the exact uses you plan. A license for downloads, short-form videos, or ordinary uploads does not by itself establish permission for a continuous YouTube livestream.
- Ask whether the permission covers continuous livestreaming on YouTube, the territories where viewers may watch, the intended duration, and monetization if you plan to earn revenue.
- If you will keep the stream as a video-on-demand replay, confirm that archiving and replay are covered too.
- For third-party tracks, ask the label, publisher, distributor, or other rights administrator whether they can allowlist your channel through Content ID. A licensed track can still trigger a live interruption if the channel is not allowlisted.
- Keep the written license and a track list together so you can identify the rights holder and permitted uses if YouTube raises a claim.
- Clear the visual material as well as the music. Use original visuals or obtain permission for any artwork, photographs, footage, or animations in the scene.
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. It may replace the live image with a placeholder, warn you, interrupt or terminate the feed if the content remains, and deal with claims on an archived stream after it ends. A music license does not automatically prevent those systems from matching a track. See YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.
YouTube’s livestream terms make the creator responsible for having the necessary rights for live and archived content, including music rights involving artists, labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. Rules can differ by territory and by repertoire; the official guidance does not establish a Gujarati-specific catalog or a universal license for Gujarati meditation music. Check with the actual rights holders, and seek qualified local advice if you need help interpreting territorial requirements. See YouTube’s livestream terms.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
2. Make sure the channel can go live
YouTube requires a verified channel that has not had a live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days. Enable live streaming ahead of your launch; YouTube for Artists advises doing so at least 24 hours beforehand. Check the current status and setup in YouTube Studio before you schedule the broadcast. See YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance.
- Verify the channel if you have not already done so.
- In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and confirm that live streaming is available.
- Create or schedule the live event and retrieve the stream key and ingest details from the Live Control Room.
- Keep the stream key private. Anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your channel.
3. Build the audio program and visual scene
For a Gujarati meditation stream, organize only cleared recordings into a playlist or program that can play continuously. Check transitions, levels, and the end-of-playlist behavior so the encoder does not stop when a file finishes. A simple visual scene can be appropriate for an audio-led broadcast, provided the image itself is cleared and the stream remains technically stable.

OBS Studio is a free, open-source software encoder that its project says can be used for commercial purposes. It is one local option, not a requirement. You still need a computer that can run the encoder, a stable internet connection, and audio sources you are entitled to use. See OBS Studio.
Plan meaningful creative value beyond an unchanged image and repeated track. YouTube’s monetization rules can treat highly repetitive or mass-produced material as ineligible, including template-based content with little original, educational, or other viewer value. Consider original curation, distinct segments, contextual notes, or other substantive contributions, and make them clear in the channel and video presentation. Reviewers may assess the channel as a whole, not just one stream. See YouTube’s channel monetization policies.

4. Configure the encoder and test before launch
YouTube’s encoder guide supports RTMP/RTMPS, H.264, H.265, or AV1 video, AAC or MP3 audio, constant-bitrate encoding, and frame rates up to 60 fps. It recommends RTMPS and a 2-second keyframe interval, with intervals not exceeding 4 seconds. Choose settings that your upload connection can sustain; the guide recommends checking upload speed and testing with audio and movement representative of the actual broadcast.
| Setting | Practical guidance |
|---|---|
| Protocol | Use RTMPS where available; YouTube describes it as the secure extension of RTMP. |
| Video codec | H.264, H.265, or AV1 are listed in YouTube’s encoder guidance. |
| Audio codec | AAC or MP3 are listed options. |
| Bitrate mode | Use constant bitrate (CBR), as recommended by YouTube. |
| Keyframe interval | Set 2 seconds; do not exceed 4 seconds. |
| Frame rate | YouTube lists rates up to 60 fps. A static or slowly changing visual may not need a high frame rate. |
| Example profile | For 1080p at 30 fps using H.264, YouTube recommends 10 Mbps. Its bitrate recommendations differ by resolution and codec, so consult the current encoder table for your selected profile. |
For a music-first stream, a modest resolution may be sufficient for the visual purpose; there is no need to choose a higher profile than your connection and production require. Check the Live Control Room’s stream health and messages during the test and broadcast. YouTube’s encoder settings, bitrate, and resolution guide is the reference for the current profile-specific values.

- Connect OBS or another encoder using the server and stream key shown in YouTube Studio.
- Run a private or otherwise suitable test before the public launch, using the same audio chain and visual scene you intend to broadcast.
- Listen for silence, clipping, uneven levels, abrupt transitions, and unintended sounds; verify that the playlist continues through its transitions.
- Check stream health and the Live Control Room for warnings before going public.
- During operation, monitor both encoder output and YouTube’s stream health rather than assuming that a running playlist means viewers are receiving a healthy feed.
5. Plan for continuous operation and recovery
A 24/7 broadcast depends on the encoder, source playback, power, and network connection all continuing to work. A local OBS setup therefore needs an operating computer and a sustained connection; plan how you will detect and recover from power loss, a dropped connection, or a playback failure. The official setup guidance recommends testing and monitoring, but it does not guarantee an uninterrupted runtime or establish a universal maximum live-stream or archive duration.
If YouTube interrupts the feed, read the Live Control Room notice and check Studio for copyright or other restrictions. Resolve the underlying issue—especially rights or allowlisting—before restarting. Reconnecting without fixing a detected third-party-content problem can lead to another interruption.

6. Understand monetization before building around it
Licensing the music does not guarantee that a repetitive loop will qualify for the YouTube Partner Program. YouTube says channel monetization review considers originality and viewer value, and may assess videos, titles, descriptions, and the channel description. Explain what is distinct about your programming rather than presenting uninterrupted playback alone as evidence of original work.
For ad revenue, YouTube lists a threshold of 1,000 subscribers and either 4,000 qualified public watch hours in the preceding 12 months or 10 million qualified Shorts views in 90 days. Other requirements apply, and the channel must pass review. Unlisted, deleted, or non-video-on-demand livestream hours do not count toward the cited watch-hour threshold. See YouTube Partner Program eligibility.
Eligible channels may use ads, Super Chat and Super Stickers, and memberships on live streams. When live monetization is enabled, pre-roll and display ads are automatically enabled; mid-rolls can be automatic, scheduled, or manual. YouTube does not guarantee that an ad slot will serve. See YouTube’s live-stream monetization guidance.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you do not want a computer and home connection to carry the stream continuously, StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for looping uploaded videos. Upload your cleared recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. The cloud keeps playback running with your computer off, and StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream.
